Mike UFantastic tennis store! My daughter is just starting tennis this year. I thought I could save a few bucks by checking with Dick's and other stores that sell racquets. What I found was that they pretty much had no clue how to fit a racquet grip or choose the proper racquet for a beginner. Plaid Racquet offered a totally opposite experience and now my daughter has a racquet that will make her learning easier because it fits her hand, has a large sweet spot and is strung for a beginner. Did the racquet cost a few dollars more? Yep, but it's a much better racquet for two reasons. One it's the right racquet for her level of play and two the quality is much higher than some cheap discount racquet so it will last much longer. Frankly the advice alone was worth the small extra cost. Note: this store was purchased from the original owners this spring and moved to a new location. The new owner could not be nicer and the store looks great.
R DExcellent customer service! Before I purchased my raquet at Plaid Raquet, I was able to get a loaner raquet to ensure that I was comfortable with it before I purchased. for myself. I also received a loaner raquet fpr my 8 year old. They did not have the grip size for my daughter in stock however they were able to order it. I also purchased tennis skirts for my daughter......so cute and a perfect fit!
