They will be talking to each other, look at you as you walk by and go back to talking to each other. I had to ask someone to help me find a pair of shoes. Even after more than one person, looked as we walked past. There was no follow up as to how the shoes fit and no making sure that we had everything we came for.

Charles EdmondsI went in this morning to the Dick's Sporting Goods at 1520 Koger Center Boulevard on a recommendation from my lady to try a pair of Hoka running shoes. I went to the shoe section and walked the wall for about fifteen minutes looking at the various running shoes. After ten minutes of nobody inquiring to see if I needed help I sort of figured the three young fellows standing against the sneaker wall in the adjacent ladies shoe section had no intentions of selling shoes today, or at least not at that time. I went over to my lady and told her I wasn't interested in making a purchase at Dick's Sporting Goods and I would rather go to another merchant, so we left. I left because this is not the first time I have walked around Dick's Sporting Goods and not been recognized by any passing staff persons. I also left because the shoes are warehoused in the back of the store and if no sales persons inquire if you need help then how are you to buy shoes; I can't walk into the back and get them myself. Most of the shoes in Dick's Sporting Goods cost in excess of $100 and if they are going to sell shoes at that price they could at least provide good customer service. My recommendation to Dick's Sporting Goods is they train the staff to be more attentive to their customers. I will probably not return to Dick's Sporting Goods and just shop for running shoes with another merchant who has sales representatives that want to help customers buy shoes.
