If Google allowed for negative reviews, this company would undoubtedly receive it. Leasing with these people for a year and a half was the absolute worst experience of our lives. I beg anybody and everybody to read through their leases with a fine-toothed comb. Honestly, have a lawyer review it before signing. Afterwards, if you’re fine with functioning financially as homeowners while living in a house you don’t own, then go for it. For example, if the AC unit was to go out, we would have been financially required to have it replaced (and they then would keep the new AC unit we paid for). There is not a singular ounce of a customer-service mindset within this slumlord company. The house we leased was riddled with plumbing issues and we ended up being charged thousands of dollars. They also absolutely refused to provide the actual invoices from the plumbers and would rather place the “amount” on their own invoice. When pressed for an invoice, we were told it was against their policies. I’ve never heard something sound more suspiciously unethical, or potentially illegal, in my life. We came home to a light fixture just hanging from the ceiling in the kitchen. It had never even worked. We had never even touched it. It could’ve fallen and hurt our children. They were going to charge us to fix it. The septic tank ended up needing to be pumped and made the claim that us living there for less than a year and a half were the cause of that issue. Never have I ever heard of such ridiculous nonsense. The worst part was the fact that our representative, Tiffany Williams, blatantly lied to us. When attempting to negotiate with her about all of these issues, Tiffany told my wife the previous tenant had none of these issues. My wife reached out to the previous tenant. The previous tenant explained all the problems she had and they just so happened to be the same as ours. We were even sent screen shots of text conversations between the previous tenant and Tiffany. They described all of these continual problems that Swanson is aware of and choose to not fix entirely themselves and instead subject new tenants to perpetually paying for bandaid fixes while doing everything they can to keep your deposit. I have much more to say; however, in sum, mark and avoid these people at all costs. They’re practically slum lords.
Love working with these folks. We’ve been renting/working with/planning with them for about 3.5 yrs now.
If i could leave a negative rating i would. Stay away from this company. All they want is your money. I have been renting from them for almost a year and have already had a million issues with them. I live on one of their hemp fields. They said there would be 1-2 farmers taking care of it and they would stay out of my way. That was a lie. There are 10+ farmers here everyday. They block me in and have stolen my personal items. Swanson said there is no proof and wont do anything about it. Second off after three months of living here they decide to hit me with a hidden gas fee. Nothing on this property is one gas. Come fall they are saying i have pay them to have their hvac company come out and look at the system to say its all good. Something i can do myself. The house i live in was not finished remodeled when i moved in. They promised to fix it. Still have not come to fix it. If i want to walk out my front door its a 8ft fall to the ground. They floor in the kitchen is falling out from under us. The floor in the bathroom is a trampoline. When i try to speak with someone about it they just brush me off. They dont care about their tenants. Just want our money.
