This review is long overdue, but I truly feel I owe it to Dr. Jon Forbes for doing what my own veterinary hospital did not. Back in May, I had an appointment scheduled at my regular vet (not Woodbridge Animal Hospital) for X-rays and potential dental surgery. However, the day before the appointment, I had to bring in my 8-pound dog urgently. He hadn’t eaten or had anything to drink in three days following a visit to a mobile teeth cleaning service, and he was clearly in pain. At that visit, he was put on IV fluids, but to my shock, they informed me that the next day's appointment was cancelled—the vet was no longer available. Despite my dog being in distress for days with no food or water, they essentially told me they couldn’t help. I insisted they refer me to a veterinary dentist who could take the necessary X-rays and provide treatment. That’s when I was referred to Dr. Jon Forbes. Dr. Forbes stepped up—on his day off, without ever having met my dog—and agreed to see him. After reviewing the X-rays, he discovered that my dog had suffered a serious jaw fracture, likely as a result of the dental cleaning. The injury was severe enough that he recommended a specialist, Dr. French at VEC. What stood out to me was Dr. Forbes’ compassion, integrity, and honesty. He acted quickly, got my dog the urgent care he needed, and made sure we were in the best possible hands. My fur baby, Elmo got to celebrate his 14th birthday. For that, I will always be grateful.

Dr. Jonathan Forbes is an excellent veterinarian. He is knowledgeable, honest and kind. We brought our baby girl Luna in last month of early April, thinking she had an eye infection but Dr. Forbes actually knew that she had a tooth infection and she needed teeth extractions. And we are glad Dr. Forbes and his team did the teeth extractions surgery on her because now, she is very playful. We also appreciate that he called us a day and a week after her surgery to know how she was recovering. Him and his team healed our baby girl Luna and we are so grateful to them. We highly recommend this awesome vet hospital.

Brought my 13 year old chihuahua to have a teeth cleaning and found out she had infection in her gums and was advised to have some teeth removed. We decided to go with the operation and it was a great choice. Dr. Forbes was so great, he we was very informative and very clear on how the procedure would work and answered all my questions. The staff was great as well, they called me throughout the day to give me updates on how my little girl was doing and even called the day after to check up and see how she was doing. I would definitely recommend anyone to get their pets teeth cleaned and to not be hesitant if any extractions are needed.
