Customer experiences
The urgent care staff are very professional and helpful. I brought my 4 year old in so they could pull something out of her eye, and the doc on staff at the time was very friendly and was able to keep my daughter calm while shining a UV light in her eye. Even made her smile at one point! I recently had a surgery here as well, and surgical staff here are second to none. Personable, down to earth, yet still professionals in their field. I was impressed first with the pre op appointment. The nurses that handled my questions were very knowledgeable and answered each question with care and patience. Each step of my surgery was spelled out clearly and concisely, and everything I needed to know was given to me in a folder with exhaustive instructions on how and when to prep. Moving to surgery day itself. Every nurse or doctor that came in introduced themselves with their first name, which I have never experienced before! At one point, a resident came in to set up my IV. She was learning the procedure, so it didn't go very well. While I was trying to stay as calm as I could, a nurse came in, stood by my side, and gently held my other arm while whispering quiet encouragement. Little things like that help tremendously. While in the surgery room, the anesthesiologist kept my mind on other things while administering my anesthesia, asking after my newborn. All in all, the experiences I've had at Fairfield Memorial have all been pleasant, and I'm glad to be a member of the community that benefits from their care.
3rd floor has been nothing but Amazing and kind to my grandmother who has dementia. I don't live in state but has always called Fairfield home. Some of the CNA's even attended my grandfathers funeral who was also a patient on 3rd floor and they were crying telling our family how much the loved him.Who does that?Staff that truly cares !Watching this disease take my grandmother has been devastating to watch. Two visits ago I had just worked a 12 hour shift (I myself am in the medical field ) and drove the 6 hours back to spend the day with her. The next morning at breakfast Tiffany was so kind to me. I broke down crying because I didn't want to leave and she came over to comfort me and expressed concern because I looked exhausted and asked me to be careful driving home.Again who does that? STAFF THAT CARE! Last weekend I came back and the disease had progressed more then I thought it would have and I was visibly crying while I was telling her goodbye and Kaylee came up to me and asked me if I needed a hug. Again STAFF that cares! I have nothing but amazing things to say about all the CNAS. Erin is amazing as well. If the world had more Tiffany's,Kaylee's and Erin's it would be a better place. These CNA's are irreplaceable and I hope this hospital sees the value of them. Thank you Tiffany , Kaylee and Erin and all the CNA's on third floor , you're truly making a difference in this world.
Is it normal for an ER Doctor to ask a woman if she is on welfare if she doesn't have a job? I understand asking my wife about having a job because of possible exposure to illness, but for Dr. Beeler to ask my wife if she is on welfare because she has no job is off-putting. Homemaker is a thing.
I just want to say that Deanna at horizon admitting office goes above and beyond to help people she's very nice,I wish everyone could be like her when signing you in to see a doctor. She deserves a raise seriously.😁💛🌞
