Customer experiences
I had my labs drawn at St. Joseph’s and honestly it was one of the smoothest, most professional medical experiences I have ever had. From the moment I checked in, the staff were kind, efficient, and respectful. The waiting area was spotless and comfortable, and I didn’t feel like I was just another number being rushed through. When it came time for the blood draw, the phlebotomist was incredible. She had a calm, reassuring presence and explained everything before getting started. I have had plenty of labs done before, and this was by far the easiest. She found the vein on the first try, it was quick and nearly painless, and she made sure I was comfortable the entire time. It is clear she takes pride in her work and in treating people with care. What really stood out to me was how personable the staff were. They didn’t just go through the motions, they genuinely made sure I felt cared for and at ease. That extra bit of humanity makes all the difference when you are in a medical setting, especially for something that can make people nervous like blood draws. Overall, I left St. Joseph’s feeling impressed and grateful. The professionalism, the warmth of the staff, and the seamless process from check-in to finish deserve recognition. If you need lab work done, this is absolutely the place to go. They turned something routine into something positive, and that is rare.
My family and I had a truly horrible experience at the ER of this hospital. The staff were extremely rude, unprofessional, and shockingly lacking in compassion. My grandfather passed away in the ER, and during those critical hours, we were left in the waiting room for over two hours with no updates, no communication, and no guidance. It felt like we were completely forgotten during the most devastating moment of our lives. The doctor caring for my grandfather showed visible frustration when we pleaded for continued treatment. Instead of offering support or options, we were coldly told that "he may not make it" and that it would be best to stop trying. This was incredibly hurtful and unacceptable, especially since we were clear about wanting every effort made to save him. We were initially told he would be moved to the ICU, yet that never happened. At no point were we allowed to be with him during treatment, nor were we kept informed about his condition or next steps. The complete lack of empathy and transparency made an already traumatic situation even worse. I am disgusted and heartbroken by how we were treated, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before seeking care at this hospital. No family should have to endure such neglect and insensitivity in a moment of crisis. A traumatic and deeply disheartening experience!
This hospital would get a 0 completely dismissed the fact my toe might have been broken or dislocated and just wanted to get it looked at to be told if it’s serious or I can just wait for it to heal. Mind you it wasn’t busy at all there was barely anyone in there no line. Lady told me I need to have insurance to be able to be checked. Never have I ever got turned down because I don’t have insurance you cant check out my injury looking at the low reviews this hospital needs to seriously be checked out makes no sense
I am currently in the hospital & I’m originally from Chicago, the care I’ve received here at St. Joseph is remarkable! I came in with a wound on my foot in pain & they have really taken very good care of me. I appreciate how they care for my overall health, if one number is off they are going to check you out! My doctors treat me & support my decisions they actually listen especially my infectious disease dr & kidney dr, internal meds. Podiatrist Sorry can’t remember exact names. The nurses the pct are amazing it is still genuine people who care ❤️
