Wow!!! now when I thought I seen it all these security guy stole hearts , I had a call from Uber to pick up a passenger in a scooter didnt know that I would need to put it in the car. Tell you the truth I have a back condition can't carry it cause I throw my back told the lady I dont know if I can take you unless someone help take apart scooter and put in car and when I get there have someone help remove . So went in side to get help they call security officers and they arrived, impressive how these officers went over and beyond, helping figuring how to break down scooter to get it in car, we need more security officer like these two men officer Vizcarar he look at the scooter call for help with another officer call walker between him and walker did a very good job. Amazing this hospital is a great hospital i give it a 10 very knowledgeable Dr Nurse's and security is a Diamond what these guard did dont happen now in days im so greatful and customer was feeling good being she's Disable like me. was not rude patience and security was just wonderful ,helping, I felt like royalty thank you so much for excellent work and love for and all

DO NOT COME HERE absolutely horrible place to go in an emergency. my son was taken by an ambulance to this facility they had him lay on bed in the middle of the hallway with no privacy. he was there for drug use and saying he wanted to self harm. the staff said he “doesn’t meet the criteria” to be in inpatient. (he told her he “i don’t want to live anymore”, she was aware of his pill use, and he said if he was sent him he would runaway.) she gave us a list of “resources” and mercy was on the list. the social worker was a joke i’m not sure why she is even in this profession. mercy should be held responsible for negligence.

I arrived for my abdominal (liver) Ultra Sound procedure (USUALLY a 10-15 minute procedure) scheduled for 1:00 PM, not knowing I would become a live guinea pig for a trainee with a new device. After 1/2 hour, I asked the trainee: "Do you think you have enough pictures yet?" She told me she need a few more, asked me to roll over on my side again, hold my breath, etc. to continue, and then she'd have to have her supervisor come in to check her work. After her supervisor showed up, she took the necessary images HERSELF, and it was about 2:15 before they were finally done. All the while, my wife was freezing in the waiting room. I'd told her it was, at most: a 15 minute deal. It might be in the public's best interest to know ahead of time if they'll be attended to by a professional or a totally inexperienced trainee.

We had a family medical emergency and my family member was transported to Mercy for care. At discharge 3 days later, we were given no information in the paperwork that said anything about what had happened to her. We were only told to follow up with a cardiologist and given two discs with images from tests, no interpretations whatsoever. As a follow up appointment was scheduled, we also requested the diagnosis or readings from the cardiologist at the hospital in order to give that information for the follow up. It has been several days and nothing has happened. This is a cardiac situation and they are doing nothing about it for follow up care with a cardiologist! If you are having a life-threatening emergency, this is NOT the hospital to go to. For the sake of yourself or loved ones, please go to Delnor or Rush-Copley. This is extremely disappointing, as my mother was a psychiatrist and gave many years of work to this same hospital.

Mercy Medical Center is a hospital.
