Just a few days ago, our landlord’s heating boiler broke down, and we used the heat pump for the first time in winter, but the machine didn’t work at all. Later, we discovered that the fan blades were frozen by snowmelt. When I first called customer service, they quoted over 100 CAD, but when my wife called the second time, the quote changed to over 200 CAD. My wife asked the customer service to communicate with me directly. That’s when the customer service representative started her performance: she told my wife that she had already told me everything and that I knew about the price. My wife repeatedly told her that I didn’t know about this price, but the customer service representative insisted that I knew everything. When I spoke with her later, she claimed she had never mentioned the initial quote of over 100 CAD. The receptionist kept using lies to cover up her own mistake (quoting the wrong price). Getting the price wrong isn’t a big deal; just saying, "Sorry, I made a mistake" would’ve been fine, and I wouldn’t have said anything. Everyone makes mistakes. But their receptionist kept lying and even insulted us by claiming we had a language barrier to excuse her own mistake. I really didn’t expect her to be so shameless. Now it seems they don’t want to take responsibility and just want to avoid their own problems, shifting all the blame onto others. This seems to be the whole attitude of their company. When they initially installed the system, their workers damaged our wall (a newly installed wall). Afterward, we sent an email to their company, but no one replied. It’s been a year now, but we didn’t contact them again because we didn’t want to pursue it further. Initially, their staff were all very professional, but now it seems I was naive. After the installation, once we paid them, their attitude completely changed. Now their customer service is telling us they never received any email about the damaged wall, and I seriously doubt the authenticity of this claim. Then today, the salesperson told me the wall didn’t need to be repaired because our renovation wasn’t finished at the time! Is this the attitude of their entire company? They damage the wall and don’t take responsibility because someone else’s renovation wasn’t finished? Their staff has pissed me off over and over again—lies, shirking responsibility—and until now, I haven’t even received a simple apology. It feels like all of this is my fault. They even told us that everyone in their office now hates us because we didn’t pay (we have now paid the full amount). I never want to deal with such a company again. I’m really fed up. Business is about making money, but it shouldn’t be like this!

We have used Mario's heating services several years now. Dupont installed on On Demand water heater and recently a new furnace. There were some Kinks to be worked out but they didn't hesitate to respond and the technicians were very respectful and responsive. I liked Mario's Personal Touch when he came by to see that everything was being done correctly and adequately. This is a personal touch that we very much appreciate and we know we can call Mario anytime and we'll get timely advice and service. As well I think DuPont is not overpriced like some services. At least they're willing to negotiate and that's also something we like about Dupont Heating
