My wife and I are hoping to start a family soon, but due to my dog's "aggressiveness" and possessiveness over certain spots/items, we were going to have to make a difficult decision. Dog or family. Our dog is our "little girl", and so our hearts were breaking over the decision. We had tried many various forms of training and prescriptions, and we contacted Tip Top K9 this was our "last shot" before we gave up the thought of being able to have children and keep our dog. Y'all, after one session this dog was different. Kody was our only instructor, and I can't say enough great things about him and the organization he works with! The true value in how the company runs is through the training of the owner, just as much as in that of the pet. My wife and I learned that our pup wasn't a butt head (completely), she just needed a little discipline applied in the right way- and that was harder for my wife and I than for our baby. We just received our puppy back after 2 1/2 weeks. We’ve trained all of our prior dogs but this one wouldn’t listen. We are amazed at the difference in our little dog and how she listens and obeys. Now the hard part is us learning how we need to handle her. Kody was the first person we met with and he’s the one who brought her home. He definitely knew what he was doing and that gave me the confidence to let her go to training. You can’t go wrong with Tip Top K9 Dog Training.

Great service, cannot recommend enough. My dog is much easier to manage after they worked with him. I opted for the at home lessons and am very happy with the results. The trainer, Cody, was very respectful and knowledgeable. This is not one of those places that teaches your dog to be obedient by turning your dog into a submissive robot. My dog kept all of his same character while being much easier to deal with on walks or even just around my apartment.

Tip Top K9 McKinney was amazing! We did the board & train problem solver program with our Keiko girly. We were having some strong issues at home where we just couldn’t control her super high energy and anxiety behavior issues. Thankfully Cody and Emma said this was no problem for them to handle. It was a bit difficult for us to have her stay with them for the 2.5/3 weeks but we knew it would be incredibly worth it in the long run for us and our good girl. She fully listens to us now, engaging with her is so much better and her new level of focus is amazing for us to be able to continue her training for new commands and tricks. She’s still our girl but a new level of obedience and behavior which makes everything about being with her the best interaction ever. She comes when called, auto sits, loose leash heel (no more tugging). She’s amazing, always was but just a new level. 🥰. Big thanks from us to them. Big time recommend. ***UPDATE*** The above comment/review was from 4 months ago right when we got her back 1/27/2025. In the short 4 months we got Keiko back from our board and train program we have dedicated the time to sticking with the twice a week group trainings (Thurs/Sat) and at minimum 20 mins a day of additional practice and training of old and new things and we are super proud to report that our precious Keiko doesn’t need to wear her training collar at home or friends/family events. She fully listens to commands and has incredible behavior and obedience. The amount of trust we have in her and the trainers at Tip Top have in her have allowed her to advance SOOOO MUCH. Keiko can not only fully loose leash heel walk with no tugging. She is now a fully trusted off leash heel walking pupper (even with distractions of other people, pets, and animals). We cannot express our gratitude enough to Tip Top K9 for giving Keiko all the needed skills to succeed and being with us for every step of her advancement at home. Our baby girl is 1 in a BILLION. A true testament that if you put in the time, effort, and consistency you can have an even more incredible pup day after day. We have shared a new video of Keiko being off leash in a park as proof of what can be done if you put in the time and work. Thanks Cody, Emma, & Cameron!
