I am writing this review on behalf of both myself and my two daughters, all of whom have been loyal clients of Feeling Smooth for the past eight years. While we’ve previously enjoyed a positive experience, the quality of service in the past 6–12 months has declined significantly, prompting us to seek services elsewhere. It’s clear that a high turnover of staff has affected the consistency and standard of care. Unfortunately, this has led to several disappointing experiences. One example was an eyebrow shaping session for my daughter that resulted in visibly uneven brows—one had been waxed at the top, the other not, and the arches were noticeably different. On another occasion, despite specifically requesting a light chestnut tint—only a shade darker than her natural colouring—my red-haired daughter left with eyebrows tinted a harsh dark brown. This required immediate bleaching and recolouring, which led to skin irritation. The final experience that confirmed our decision to move on was an eyelash lift and tint that appeared completely ineffective. We ended up having the treatment redone at another salon within days. In addition to the decline in service quality, the salon’s rigid cancellation policy was disappointing. I was charged nearly the full fee for an appointment I had to cancel last minute due to an unexpected family bereavement. I contacted the salon to explain the circumstances, but unfortunately, the request for flexibility or a refund was declined. After nearly a decade of loyal patronage, it's disheartening to say that we no longer feel confident in the level of service being offered. While we understand that businesses go through periods of change, the recent experiences have made it difficult for us to continue our relationship with Feeling Smooth.

The staff was professional, polite, and friendly. The beauticians were thorough with the waxing, which wasn’t as painful as other waxing experiences. I was in two minds about getting a spray tan because I had an event that night, and I had had several bad experiences with other beauticians with spray tan, leaving me bright orange. But the spray tan at Feeling Smooth was definitely worth it. It doesn’t leave you with that chemical smell like other spray tans, and I’m not bright orange, either! It is important to book ahead because they are popular. The shop on Bay Street also has free parking, and I somehow fluked a spot right out the front—twice!

Have been going to Feeling Smooth for nearly 13 years and I’m always keen to come back due to their excellent customer service and amazing skills. Today I had the most divine hydrafacial with the lovely Alicia. The experience was both relaxing and invigorating. My skin feels so plump and smooth which is usually really dry and sensitive. Highly recommend!
