British ingredients with African-inspired spices. Food was very punchy in flavors; albeit there were a few dishes that I wasn’t sure the flavor combinations worked. Service was quite slow - there were moments where I had waited close to 20 mins to get my next dish which led to the meal being a 4 hour commitment. Great atmosphere, plenty of distance between tables which gives privacy.

Visited Ikoyi long before it earned its second star & their move to strand temple. Loving the whole new environment - it’s warm, inviting, and effortlessly elegant. Every dish bursts with bold, playful layers of flavor, rooted in African spices. The plantain of course was one of my fav, you’d never think of it the same way again!

Came for great non-country specific cuisine, got exactly that. Dishes are flavorful, peppery, and powerful; abundance of spices and contrasting texture. Interesting choice of table lighting where it's well-lite just on the center of the table and dark where you would place your plates when eating. I like to enjoy my food in all my senses (visual, smell and taste). The formal was a little hard to achieve.

This is I believe my favorite restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. It’s definitely on the pricier side but the wait staff is unbelievably attentive. The food was all amazing. There wasn’t a single dish that I didn’t like. Every dish had its own unique flavor but somehow as a whole it was cohesive. Each dish was clearly its own dish and not an interaction on a previous course, but they were all clearly part of the same meal. The presentation and complexity of each dish were unparalleled. All of the wait staff is constantly keeping an eye out to make sure your table is clean and drinks are full. Julie (sorry if I spelled it wrong!) even noticed that I was left handed when she brought out the silverware which is an insane level of detail. I had to actually stop and think about if I’m actually eat left handed or not. They also paid a lot of attention to dietary restrictions and allergies which I love to see. The waitress knew me better than I knew myself! 10/10 would come back.
