The employees here are very kind and professional, but that's about it. The car I rented (pictured) was given to me with a practically empty gas tank. The transmission was not in great shape, the engine could barely go above 65 mph before the car started jerking and stalling despite the gas being stepped on. The windshield fluid tank was empty, which was a huge issue driving on I-95 with all the salt and dirt getting on the windshield, making visibility very difficult. The touchscreen for playing music files in a USB memory didn't work very well, it often got stuck if I touched the "next" (forward arrow) button. While it is easy to leave the garage in the facility when you check the car out, it is quite difficult to find the way to be able to get in the garage when you have to return the car, which adds to the stress of the horrible Boston traffic, especially if you are not from Boston, thus unfamiliar with the area. More signs are needed to help customers in returning their vehicles. The car is "conveniently" equipped with a toll pass thing, which I totally avoided using because I know the "convenience fee" for using it is often outrageous. I paid all the tolls in cash and found ways to go around the places where I knew paying in cash was not an option. However, because the car didn't have windshield fluid, it was snowing, and the car was in general horrible and stressful to drive, the drive back to Boston from Maine took much longer than I had planned. In an effort to return the car on time, I had to go on the Tobin Bridge, which has no cash payment option, so the toll was collected with the toll pass thing inside the car. When I returned the vehicle, I told all this to the gentleman who received it, I asked him if there would be any additional charges other than the toll that was paid by the toll pass thing in the car, he said there would be no more charges. However, this morning I found a New Year's surprise, a toll receipt email from Enterprise "convenience fee" charge (see pic) of $4.95 for using the toll pass thing in the car, which adds to the $2.55 Tobin Bridge toll charges, for a total of $7.50. FIVE DOLLARS for using their toll pass device in the car. This is an outrageous charge for absolutely nothing. Enterprise takes advantage of customers charging so much for the use of this device which, in my case, was inevitable. I know that Enterprise will not care and if anyone there bothers to reply to this review, they will state that the toll pass device is for my convenience and comfort. They know the toll could be collected at no additional cost by license place in places where no cash payment is possible. I would be happy to pay the $2.55 Tobin Bridge toll and a reasonable (e. g. $0.99) "convenience fee", but paying almost twice the cost of the actual toll for the use of this toll pass device is outrageous.

We loved how efficienct and easy it was to rent from this location. First off, they have a wide variety of vehicles available which is a plus for us as we were looking strictly for a full size pickup truck. We received a great value for our rental. Pickup was smooth! We arrived almost one hour ahead of our scheduled time but Tyler Lips was awesome enough to help us out with checking in. Our vehicle was in good condition. We did not encounter any problems during our rental period. We also loved how Tyler sent us a follow up message just to reassure us that we can contact them anytime we have any issues. Great and timely communication. We'll be renting from this place again whenever we come back to Boston. 👌🏼
This is my third time renting from enterprise. Very professional. Hassle free, cars are clean and you can book online and drop it off - off hours or at a different nearby location for free. Compared to zipcar or other app, enterprise is a much better deal.
