Please take a moment to read this review – it’s so well deserved!!! If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! This isn’t your typical review as I’m writing not just as a client, but also as a mortgage agent who brought what was pretty much an “impossible” situation to the Montrose FirstOntario Branch to assist one of my clients. I’ve been assisting clients with their mortgage needs for over 10 years, and I recently had the absolute PRIVILEGE of working with Emily, Quill Senior Member Experience Representative, and Chris Heckley, Branch Manager, on a very urgent file—one that had to be turned around in just one business day... I REPEAT.... ONE business day! Emily is a true EXPERT in the mortgage world! Despite the tight timeline, she was incredible to work with—calm, focused, responsive, and beyond supportive. She guided both myself and the clients through every step with professionalism, patience, and care. Chris was equally amazing, jumping in to make sure things moved quickly and smoothly and I cannot put into words how thankful I am for this level of service. Because of their incredible teamwork and dedication, our mutual clients—first-time home buyers—got the keys to their very first home! I am absolutely blown away and I know that it would not have been possible without the team at the Montrose Branch. If you ever have the chance to work with Emily, Chris, or anyone at the branch—DO IT! You will be in the best hands, I promise! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

I have been a member at First Ontario Credit Union for almost 20 years now, and I find that customer service went from excellent to much worse over time. I am very disappointed over a recent transaction and experience with a representative of the Niagara Falls branch. She put a 5 day hold on a bank draft that I wanted to deposit into my account. She also spoke to the acting manager that day. When asked why she would so this for a bank draft, her reply to me was " I don't know you, and this is at our discretion" I did a follow up call to the branch and they explained the reason they do this, but the representative I dealt with inside the branch that day was rude and very unprofessional. It made me feel like their long time " members" do not mean anything.

I’ve been a member here for over 10 years . It’s very welcoming and personal. Not like big corporations. “Everyone knows your name” Very satisfied with the level of service.

Worst bank to deal with. Will just remove funds from your account without your knowledge. Will not provide documents
