When I wanted to do a complete renovation of a home I had just bought, including a large new addition, I called Blossom Hills Construction. Having seen the work Peter had done before from other projects, I knew he was the only man for the job. The complete renovation started with a full tear down of the entire home down to the studs, aside from a couple of walls. After that, it was a matter of changing the structure of the house. Our plans included a large new addition with a common area, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms as a new floor on top of the existing structure. This required removing half of the roof and adding trusses and new supporting beams both inside and outside the existing house. This addition was more difficult than most and it was done expertly. On top of the addition, Peter and the contractors at Blossom Hills Construction also fully renovated the existing house. They changed interior walls around, merged a second bedroom with the existing master to make a new master bedroom, complete with a large walk in closet and luxurious ensuite bathroom, re-did all the plumbing and electrical work based on the new specifications, moved around closet and bathroom locations, updating and re-arranged the kitchen to maximize the space, properly insulating all exterior walls, including fully soundproofing the interior walls, adding a large covered porch off of the kitchen, added a new front porch and front foyer, moving the laundry to the main floor, and rebuilding all the interior walls. They also completely renovated the basement, where Peter helped us update and arrange all the mechanical down there (furnace, water heater, water softener, etc.) to maximize the area and gain a significant amount of extra storage space. They also added a new, covered walk-up exit from my family room, which is halfway underground, to the backyard. This significant undertaking had Blossom Hills Construction follow very detailed plans I had prepared by an architect to my specific and unique needs. Peter did a fantastic job communicating with me on regularly to ensure everything was the way I wanted it. The plans and all of my needs were met and even exceeded in most cases. All of the work – the large addition, complete renovation of the interior, updating the kitchen and bathrooms, re-arranging the basement and all the mechanical, adding a new front porch and back covered porch, building a covered walk-up exit, meeting my specific needs, and completing the final touches on the entire home – was completed in 7 months. This included finding and managing all the sub-contractors and making sure that the city inspectors, who were here regularly, were satisfied and all their instructions were followed. There were no delays, no issues for us to deal with, and no surprises of any kind. A remarkable achievement for such a large renovation. Peter and Blossom Hills Construction were able to expertly complete my project, which was a more difficult undertaking than building a new home. The work is much better than what I’ve seen other, larger companies do for friends and families with far less issues and hassles. And oh, I forgot to mention that all of this came at a reasonable price, certainly less than the bigger-named companies around town quoted me.
