I have greatly enjoyed my time here. The teachers are kind and very knowledgeable. I unfortunately cannot recommend based on personal experience that anyone trying to do yoga as ptsd treatment go here. I can only hope others experience is different.

I'm astounded that I haven't chosen to write a review sooner. The Amara yoga studio is a stronghold to the urbana community. Here is where people come to practice in the morning before the Urbana farmers market. Here is where people get their hot flow almost every night of the week. Here is where you can deep dive into the fundamentals of yoga with extraordinary teachers. We are lucky to have this space to gather and practice.

Evelyn really opened my chakras — and possibly my third mortgage. I came in stressed and stiff, and left feeling like a freshly boiled noodle floating through the cosmos. At one point during class, I’m 87% sure I saw my spirit animal wink at me. Evelyn whispered ‘breathe’ and suddenly I was crying, laughing, and remembering my AOL password from 2004. 10/10 would transcend again

I have been practicing yoga for 13 years. I've been to many yoga studios around the country in my life, but Amara is the first studio I've ever chosen to get a membership to. Every class I've attended has been wonderful. The teachers are excellent, respectful, and kind. The other students are very welcoming, as well. I'm so happy to have found a yoga studio to call home in Urbana.
