: We first used Zoe back in 2017 on our previous property through a recommendation of a friend....What can I say; we were not disappointed. Zoe brought an insightful and inspired energy to our initial ideas for our extension and internal renovation project. Zoe provided a design that was both innovative and practical for our needs at that time. If we needed any advice and reassuring through the build Zoe was always available and prompt with her replies. This was of great help to us and helped ease any anxiety we had with taking on our first major project to one of our homes. After moving to our new property we had no hesitation to contact Zoe to design, and project manage this time, our new single and double storey extension including complete kitchen renovation. As per usual Zoe dealt with all planning and structural parts of the project. This with once again an inspired, and what we think is a unique build. This was completed at the end of summer 2022, and With Zoe and her company’s expertise is now our forever home. Would absolutely recommend using ZLA Architect’s services for any project you may be planning.

My partner and I appointed Zoe Lewis Architects Ltd to make some alterations to our 1950's, semi-detached house in Caversham. We had a tiny kitchen, unused dining room and had to keep the fridge freezer in the outdoor garage. We wanted to open it up and create an open plan kitchen and dining/ living layout with direct access to the rear garden via some new bi-folding doors and also to create a new downstairs bathroom and small laundry room so that we didn't have to do laundry in the kitchen any more. Zoe worked with us to understand our living needs, budget, and how we wanted to live in the house after the building work was complete. She provided us with several different design options for us to consider and was a fantastic collaborative partner in creating a new design for our home. Zoe was able to provide us with a contemporary design that beautifully reworked the layout of our old kitchen and dining room into one beautiful and functional space where we can cook, entertain, and relax. We are absolutely delighted with the results! it has completely the way we live in our house for the better. The services Zoe also provided were; a Building Regulations package, (including Structural Engineering information- by others) to obtain Building Regulations consent and Thames Water consent. In addition, Tenders were submitted to Builders and construction management was provided by Micheal which made the construction process run more smoothly, enabling constant and clear lines of communication between us and the main contractor. We are delighted with the outcome and would not hesitate to recommend this Practice or to use them for future projects.

More than happy to ask Zoe for help with our next project. Didn't take any chasing to come up with the two sets of plans that she has done for us. We even changed our minds on doors we were having in the extention, that she had drawn up for us. But that was no bother. Plans changed and building work carried out. Professional to deal with and plenty of previous projects in her portfolio. I believe they also have a long running relationship with a local builder, and plenty of finished jobs between them. so she must be doing something right. 👍
