Customer experiences
We bought a combination admission and after visiting the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre, we took the walking trail over to the Yukon Transportation Museum. They had a lot of interesting vehicles and history about their artifacts. There was information on some artifacts that I never knew, so it was great information. This was definitely worth the stop. They have plenty of parking, even if you are in an RV.
I had several hours before my flight, and it's only a 5 minute walk from the terminal so I decided to check it out. It's not a huge museum, but they have a very good collection of different types of transportation history in Yukon, with lots of exhibits both inside and out. Definitely worth visiting if you have some extra time waiting for a delayed flight out of the airport.
We went and spent the afternoon at the museum on Sept 7th. What a wonderful treasure in Whitehorse. There was so much history and artifacts. We couldn't read it all.
Unfortunately it was closed the day we were planning on going there. But even from the outside there are a lot of vehicles to see and admire. Will have to come back sometime.
Yukon Transportation Museum is a museum.
