Customer experiences
The staff is amazing and so helpful. The hotel has an amazing view and wonderful walking path along the beach. The fit and finish of the room could be better. The room smelled of dog ( it’s a pet friendly hotel) the fixtures, towels, furniture all looked worn out. The comforter on the bed was paper thin…. Maybe better for the summer? If you are visiting here for the location and view, you will not be disappointed…. Just be aware of average finishes and comforts in your room.
We were 3 guests attending for my brothers birthday.. Pre ordered a charcuterie board as an add on to the room, only to arrive into the room and see It was a plastic to go container with extremely poor presentation and 2 packages of single serving crackers. Although the beds are comfortable and view was nice, the spa experience left a whole lot to be desired. Extremely out dated and poorly maintained. If it wasn't for the lovely lady at the front desk of the spa we likely would of cancelled our treatments. The pool was extremely dirty and very cold. The towels are very small and thin. The sauna isn't pre heated, therefore you need to turn it on 1 hour before you'd like to use it. The water station in the bathroom did not work and we had to constantly keep asking for a paper cup to get water from the hallway fountain. The restaurant was closed, which was not disclosed upon booking. The Sea view Cafe and The marina cafe were the only 2 options, with extremely long line ups and very over priced items. I had ordered 2 coffees with a side of baileys and it was $37. We were shocked to see the cost of a quesadilla.. $17 dollars with a $13 add on for chicken. We had to leave the resort both nights for dinner. When we arrived back from dinner one evening, I approached the front desk employee to ask about a reservation for pickle ball the following morning only to be snapped at "I can't help you with that". The small store off to the left of the check in desk charged $30 for a pre made deli style sandwich, the items were insanely over priced. The toilet in our room also did not flush properly and the shower did not heat up warm water. At least the house keeping staff were kind and attentive. Over all shocking value for the VERY expensive cost this entire weekend. SUPER DISAPPOINTED to spend that kind of money for a birthday weekend.
The location is fantastic and romantic. The hotel is nice and may use some updates. The price is on the higher side as expected for the location. I was somewhat disappointed by the breakfast buffet. I expected more variety for the price of 25/person. There were only potatoes, bacon, eggs, and fruits. Overall, pleasant experience.
The staff here is absolutely lovely and the place itself is very pretty. Rooms are fine, but slightly dated imo. If you *love* dogs this is totally the place for you. My partner and I don't really love them so this place was a bit intense for us. We're talkin' like, dogs everywhere. One even came out from behind the front desk while we were checking in. It was pretty funny tbh, but it became a bit much when the dog across the hall from our room would not stop barking and yowling constantly. We wanted a room with ocean access, but that's unfortunately the wing of the hotel where all the dogs stay. Classic. If you want ocean access *and* to be immersed in the wild world of dog cohabitation, you're going to be in heaven here. Truly. I cannot emphasize enough how kind and accommodating the front desk staff were. The situation was both comical and challenging. They did great.
