I recently completed the core/lab portion of the Medical Lab Technician/Assistant program at the Toronto campus has been a remarkable chapter in my educational journey. I've gained a wealth of knowledge and emerged with a strong sense of confidence and readiness for my future career. I want to extend my sincere and heartfelt appreciation to Miss Samira Juma for her outstanding contributions to the Med Lab department. Having Samira Juma as my med lab instructor was an absolute privilege. Her dedication was extraordinary; Samira always took the extra time to ensure our understanding and patiently helped us navigate any difficulties we encountered. She possesses not only a deep expertise in the crucial MLT/A material but also a rare gift for teaching and demystifying complex topics with simplicity and clarity. I feel an immense sense of gratitude for having had her as my instructor and would enthusiastically recommend Samira and the MLT/A program to anyone looking to embark on a career in lab science. My sincere thanks also go to Winmae Magbanua, my wonderful TA. Her support was invaluable, and I am truly grateful for her contributions to my learning.

I recently finished my final exam at Oxford program for the MLA/T program and I had Samira as my instructor. Even though the journey was not a piece of cake, she made sure to make learning fun and interesting, and very obviously cared about the success of every student. This was probably the time I’ve felt most motivated in an educational setting to do my best. You can tell that Samira and Winmae, the laboratory assistant instructor, have extensive knowledge and training and are skilled at teaching the content and preparing you for the exam and the workplace.
