I recently graduated from Western Community College. Unfortunately, my overall experience with the college was disappointing. I felt that student needs and concerns were often overlooked, and there was a general lack of support throughout the program. However, one of the best decisions the college made was hiring Melissa as an instructor for the Health Care Assistant practicum. She was an outstanding and dedicated educator who genuinely cared about her students. Her teaching style was clear, compassionate, and hands-on, which made a huge difference in our learning. I truly appreciated her support and the real-world knowledge she shared with us. It’s unfortunate if she is no longer with the college, as she was one of the few highlights of the program. I hope the college takes more steps in the future to prioritize the quality of education and student experience.
