Michaela MackenzieWent to reception to enquire why I haven't been contacted for a follow-up . with my GP after a procedure at Southmead hospital. I was told to ring reception and make an appointment. I said but I'm here at reception can't you just make an appointment for me now and I was told in no uncertain terms that I couldn't do it due to patient confidentiality. . I said that there is nothing confidential in arranging a date and time. The receptionist still refused. It's high time the NHS returned to common sense.

No phone call and when he logged in to see why it had been re arranged for 3 weeks time not even informing him!!! Very poor! Also can never see doctor of your choice. Definitely gone downhill over the years.
