Update: In a disturbing escalation, the CEO of Fresh Start, my former therapist, responded to this review with gaslighting and a threat to call the police unless I contacted her. My medical records reveal she inappropriately documented my partner's profession as a lawyer. Additionally, she fabricated information in my paperwork, falsely stating my transfer was due to personal reasons, a direct contradiction of the original email which never stated that I was being transferred due to person reason, but that there was another therapist I could talk about with in my fears of the Trump administration. I am now extremely worried that she will abuse her position to contact my psychiatrist and have me discharged as a patient. Gutted and Betrayed After 5 Years. After five years of therapy at Fresh Start, painstakingly building trust after enduring childhood trauma, I received a cold, impersonal email informing me my case was being transferred. All scheduled appointments were immediately canceled, leaving me completely adrift. This abrupt termination felt like a cruel dismissal after years of vulnerability and hard work. It was only when I pointed out the blatant disregard for our contract, which promised a final session, that they offered to schedule one. The fact that I had to fight for basic professional courtesy is appalling. This experience has left me feeling utterly gutted, deeply saddened, and profoundly betrayed. To have my trust so callously broken after such a long and difficult journey is devastating. If you're looking for a therapist who values patient relationships and respects the sensitive nature of trauma recovery, please look elsewhere. Fresh Start Therapy has shown me that they do not.
