Customer experiences
Would leave a 0 if I could. I took my car to Walmart for an oil change and two new tires. After picking it up, my car began acting strangely; stalling, hitching, and unable to go over 30 mph. I returned to Walmart and was told they had overfilled the oil by 2 quarts and used a recalled oil filter, and they said they would fix it. After hours of waiting, I got my car back, but as soon as I drove above 20 mph, it started smoking and stalling again. Filing a claim with Walmart took 1–2 hours because the staff were unfamiliar with the process, had to continuously wait for a manager, and the manager kept leaving. When I had my car inspected at a local shop in Enid, they found that Walmart had overfilled the oil again by 1 quart during the second oil change. The damage was so severe that I had to get a brand-new engine. Overall, I strongly suggest not taking your car to Walmart for service unless you want the risk of severe damage and an unresponsive claims process that can take weeks to resolve.
Sarah and her team did an excellent job and went above and beyond, got me in at the end of the day and resolved my flat. Other auto centers nearby said they couldn’t get to it until tomorrow. Thank you!
Stopped by to have my tires rotated and noticed they had headlight restorations for $29.99. When I paid, I was only charged $25.99. I called it to their attention and they stated the price was correct, their sign outside was wrong. Now they could have not said anything and I'd have paid the $29.99. Hat's off to their honesty...and look how awesome my headlights look!!
If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. My appointment was set for 5:30, and when I arrived, one of the guys was already closing up the lube area. The other guy directed me to go inside, claiming they didn’t have any oil outside. He even mentioned needing to pull oil off the shelf, but honestly, that’s not my problem! You should double-check your appointments before shutting things down. I apologized for my appointmentbeing at 5:30 but corporatesays 7:00 so someone is lying, but let's be real—it’s your job to change oil, so just do it. To make matters worse, they ended up charging me extra, seemingly just because they were in a bad mood. I’ve never heard of having to pull supplies off a shelf and then getting charged more for it, especially when everything is just sitting in the back! Plus, my crossover only takes 4.2 quarts of oil, yet they insisted I needed an extra quart—probably just to make up for their own schedule woes. It’s frustrating to see such poor service when I just wanted a simple oil change. I ended up paying 80 which was ridiculous I'll go to a mom and pop shop or dealership moving forward. The lady in the back was nice she was not the issue.
