Dr. B is genuinely a kind and thoughtful person. He thoroughly answered all my questions, and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the process. I had my teeth cleaned in Santiago Chile 30 days ago and noticed a spot on my tooth that was stained. I stuck a toothpick in it and figured it was a filling that had fallen out. (I had a USA dentist that “found” cavities right before his retirement). So, I made an appointment on the website with Juliana Ochoa to do a filling. She examined it closely and said it’s just a stain. She cleaned the spot and removed some resin. The resin is sealant done 20 years ago and as that flakes off I have some pitting in the sealant; but those aren’t cavities in the tooth. A different dentist began “watching” those pits about 12 years ago. A Mexican dentist a year ago told me I had several cavities, but he’d just clean my teeth if that is all I wanted. I said I’d watch them for now. In Santiago they said my teeth were fine, but the cleaning wasn’t great; I still have a lot of chlorohexidine stains in hard to reach spots. Juliana did an exam and said other than a cleaning, my teeth were fine. Considering I was with Juliana for a filling, and she found it wasn’t necessary I find her very credible. The exam was 36,000 COP. We communicated using a translator on her phone and my limited Spanish. It’s nice to have a dentist I can trust, and I’ll return for cleanings. FYI, there is a Laureles office too.
