Full disclosure - I'm born and raised Almonte and, with the exception of a 12 year stint in Ottawa, I've lived all my life here. I'm very proud of my home town and was delighted when the Dairy Distillery set up shop in town. My wife and I recently took the tour and it was very reasonably priced, informative and most importantly, a lot of fun. We all had the chance to sample all eight of their cream flavours. The tour and the sampling were a hit with everyone! Highly recommended! There are plenty of reviews here with good information on the Vodkow process so I won't get into that here. What I'd like to talk about is how friendly and helpful everyone is. I could buy the Vodkow products at our local LCBO but I am willing to drive for AN ENTIRE EXTRA MINUTE more to go to the Distillery directly!!! Actually I'd be willing to a lot further than that! Every time I go in I am made to feel welcome and the interactions are fun! Another point is that they are excellent corporate citizens. I love it that they have teamed up with three other Almonte businesses - Hummingbird Chocolate, Equator Coffee Roasters and Fulton's Maple Syrup. So nothing but good to say and five very well deserved stars.

Short trips brought us to this wonderful vodka producer in Almonte, Ontario. It’s a beautiful space and the actual place where they make the spirit looks majestic! Russell took us on an interesting tour that ended with multiple tastings and shopping opportunity. This was the best part of our small business tours in the area and I highly recommend a visit.

A must stop in Almonte/MM. The creative drinks melt the soul. AND all the other distilled flavours to sample and then to make the tough decision which to take home. Stop, sit and sample!

This place is a gem in the small town of Almonte. Dairy Distillery uniquely makes vodka using milk as their primary source for sugar, and then infuses that vodka back into unique creamy liqueurs you won't find elsewhere, like chocolate orange, strawberry and maple syrup. They've even teamed up with another local business with award winning chocolate (the hummingbird chocolate factory) to create a decadent chocolate liqueur which is definitely best served cold. One of the owners Neal was kind enough to show us around the factory and how they made their vision a reality and the process was both facinating and impressive to see being done start to finish all at the almonte facility. As someone who grew up in Almonte when there was not a lot of unique experiences, this is awesome to see and worth making a trip down to the small town to check it out.
