The table was very sticky - I had to place a napkin to cover where my arms might contact the table (it stuck in place). On arrival, the staff were outside the entrance smoking (I have no issues with that, personally, but it isn't a good look for a restaurant). The waitress was very attentive and polite. • £7.95 Bruschetta ★★★☆☆ • £7.95 Zuppa del Giorno (soup of the day - Minestrone) ★★★☆☆ • £24.95 Agnello Brasato (Lamb Shank) ★★★☆☆ • £21.95 Pollo con Taleggio (Chicken with cheese) ★★★★☆ • £8.95 Garlic Bread with Cheese ★☆☆☆☆ The garlic bread was on a pizza base and was not pleasant. The Minestrone soup was underwhelming. The Lamb shank beautifully cooked, but extremely bland. I suggest seasoning? The chicken was 'good', but not memorable. The drinks were the highlight. Elderflower St Clements - thoroughly enjoyed by my partner ★★★★★ The Argentinan Malbec was also good ★★★★★ For the 'price vs quality' argument, the Laroch in Ballachulish was dramatically better value for incredible food. At these prices (Villa Verde), I expected better, to be honest. PARKING: Venue has its own carpark, where diners can park for free.
