Lorenzo is one of the great people of Carlton and one of the few traditional old school barbers still around. Here since I can remember and setup like a mens barber shops should be - a great well priced haircut along a passionate discussion on all sports and world events. It’s a traditional walk in only barber and mens hairdresser, no bookings just wait in the chair but it’s usually pretty quick and open until 2:00pm on Saturdays !

Lorenzo has been cutting my hair since I started studying in Carlton in 2000. I now live 250km away, but I still make the monthly trip to Lorenzo. The price was raised to $25 a few years ago, but apart from that nothing has changed. If you want a quick haircut, say nothing and Lorenzo will be done in no time. If you’ve got the time, start a conversation on corruption in professional sport or in government contracts, and you’ll get a slower haircut but great conversation!

Always call into Lorenzo's when visiting my daughter in Melbourne. He provides a good quality scissor cut with full trim and clean up for $25. A few times have been after a holiday and visited for haircut and shave. Lorenzo also provides an old fashioned straight shave using proraso soap and a shavette. It's one of the highlights of my visit to come back home with a good quality and traditional scissor hair cut from Lorenzo.
