These guys were awesome. We worked with David and Bill, I couldn't recommend anyone more highly. Bill was very knowledge about the product and David was great with the crew. They finished the job in just a few hours and cleaned up nicely for both us and our neighbors. David even took the time to go over issues found in the decking and how it related to water damage we had in our home. On top of all of that they were great on price!

We called Vertex due to leaking in our kitchen during each rain storm. We had asked for price to get the flat roof replaced. Instead of just giving us a price they took the time to figure out that the leak was being caused by our gutters. We had copper gutters and down spouts but they did not push us to stay the copper gutters even though we did. We're so happy with how they came our. Also during there visit they pointed out we had some missing slate. This company is great and happy to have them come back to fix the slate next month

2 and a half years later our roof is going strong and still looks brand new. After a heavy storm we found we needed a roof inspection so we called Vertex. They quickly came and quoted us on repairs, which we then decided to fully replace the roof. I would use them on my second home when the time comes, don't hesitate to give them a call!

Vertex did roofing installation for our home in May of 2019. They were subcontractors to Lowes. I would highly recommend you read our entire experience before you decide. In over 15 years as a homeowner, I have never ever dealt with a company that has done as poor a job, and has been as unresponsive at fixing the issues as Vertex. Not to mention the lack of professionalism of the crew. Issues along the timeline (from when they started installing) 1) They provided no warning to us, and did not inform us in any way that we should remove anything from around the house. Our patio, our son's toys, entire yard were covered with deadly roofing nails. Had they warned us, we would have taken appropriate precautions. The nails fell inside our brand new HVAC unit and damaged the fan blades. When I talked to the supervisor about all of this -- they took no responsibility whatsoever. To make matters worse -- he laughed -- imagine this -- he laughed!! and said "what did you expect??". As if we go around getting roofing done on a regular basis. Then later, only after I complained to Lowes, they said -- they would sweep the entire yard. After they had swept, I stepped on a nail and so I had to complain again and only then did they sweep again. (see pictures of the damage and the litter of deadly nails) 2) Damage to property: They dropped roofing materials from height on to our brand new HVAC and caused damage (see pictures). They dropped nails damaged the fan of the HVAC unit (see pictures). They smashed into our garage door trim. It was only because we saw it happen did they accept that they had done that. (see pictures) They stepped on the gutters and damaged the gutter covers (less than a year old). They did not tell us -- I discovered this when I got up there to put the christmas lights. I am sure there is damage to gutters higher up, but have not been able to get up there and see for myself. 3) Damage to roof and ceiling: They did not cover the roof properly when they left on day 1, and there was a rainstorm. We had huge leaks into our bedroom and into our bathroom. With water dripping. When we told them -- they said they would fix it all after roofing was done -- nope, we are still waiting on it after 1 year!! They have not either inspected the insulation that got all wet, nor inspected the inside of the roof for additional damage to the boards. 4) Shoddy job: They were supposed to remove all rotten boards. While they were doing it, they covered up board over the garage whose edge looked rotten. I showed them the picture and they dismissed it. Later we discovered additional boards in attic of the garage that from inside we could see rot from water. We told them -- and they said "we did not see rot from above" -- what??? that does not make any sense!! 5) Total lack of professionalism: We tried to reach them again today before the 1 year labor warranty runs out. They said -- they had come once and no one was home. Complete lies! Who shows up at a resident's house without taking appointment?? Or never calls? They had my cell phone number and did not call either. Even now they are unwilling to take any responsibility to address the issues, or address all the damage to our property they caused. I have refrained from leaving a review for this company only because I do not like causing damage to small business. I have always found that through conversation problems are addressed to our satisfaction. However, after almost a year -- I believe that by not sharing, it would be a great disservice to potential customers if they suffer the same fate as us. Be warned from our experience -- and shop around to get better and more professional roofing installers.
