I have been seeing Dr Grover since adopting both my cats in 2011. He is absolutely amazing! My cat Oreo was diagnosed with renal failure several years ago and Dr Grover was very thorough and compassionate with her veterinary care. She recently passed away suddenly and I received a personal phone call from Dr Grover. And also a condolence card signed by the entire staff. This meant so much! Even more recently my older cat Gywnnie developed an impacted anal gland which became infected and ruptured. I called Friendly Vet and they got her in right away. This time I saw Dr Cori Gustafson. She is also fantastic! She explained everything thoroughly and we got her on a treatment plan to get her healed up. Gwynnie is now doing great. I highly highly recommend this practice. They are thorough and offer exemplary veterinary care, but do not order unnecessary tests or procedures. Most of all they are compassionate and truly care about your pets:-) Thank you to the entire staff!

Edit - Sadly, our Rosie passed away. We are overwhelmed by the compassion and caring that was offered to all of us by the Friendly Vet team. Dr Grover performed a heroic surgery on Rosie and was extremely attentive as she recovered. He was available, receptive, and resourceful as he managed a difficult case. Dr Schey walked us through the most difficult decision to humanely let our girl go. She educated us compassionately and gave us plenty of time to decide. She was with us as we cried over the loss and I could not have asked for a better experience given how incredibly difficult that day was. After the fact, they sent a moving card from the whole team. Yes, they do care deeply for their patients and their families. They are simply the best and we recommend them completely. **************** First Review: Exceeded all expectations with attention to detail, compassion, empathy, guidance and expertise. We came to Friendly Vet, because our beloved dog needs increasing medical attention, and our former veterinarian is too far away for these frequent visits. Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit with Dr Schey! Attention to detail like a veterinary training kit for children in the exam room, and a clipboard for clients to take notes for all thoughtful touches I’ve never seen in a veterinary clinic. They also employ pheromone diffusers to reduce the pets stress. Senior pets are expensive, so I really appreciated the consultative approach to timing, cost, and a thorough explanation for why what was ordered is needed. As a former veterinary pharmaceutical representative, I have been in thousands of veterinary clinics and know great when I see it. I’ve known Dr. Grover for years annd although there are many great veterinarians in the area, his practice is my number one choice. You get what you pay for and so much more. Happy we chose Friendly!

Twelve years ago we took Pepper to see Dr. Grover at The Friendly Vet in Lisle based on a colleague's recommendation. He provided outstanding care throughout the years. When he diagnosed Pepper with cancer, Dr. Grover recommended transferring her care to the VCA animal hospital in Aurora to see an oncologist. Today, Sunday, Dr. Grover called me to commend us on providing Pepper with excellent care and stated that she was fortunate to have us as her owners. He also praised Pepper's wonderful and loving nature. What veterinarian takes the time to call, two and a half years after a patient has left their care, simply to offer kind words? Dr. Grover's actions demonstrate that he is not only an exceptional veterinarian but also a genuinely kind and compassionate individual.
