I suggest reading the full review and the response provided by Northdale… I Had my dog euthanized here, I don’t know by who as they never introduced themself. The skill level suggested possibly a student as they tried for over 15 minutes to try to get a vein on an unconscious 140lb well hydrated dog. What I have previously experienced as about a 20 minute procedure ended up starting shortly after 430pm with the first injection and ending at around 6pm with the final injection. I will be moving my other pets to another vet office. First my dog was heavily sedated to unconscious and then I was left by staff for a prolonged period to watch my dog slowly stop breathing. It appeared my dog had stopped breathing from sedation before the final needle was given. Even still they insisted he wear a muzzle to further reduce his ability to breathe, despite being completely unresponsive. I had to open the door and ask for help when I saw he was close to going into respiratory arrest, after the first injection. Even after asking them to come and give the second injection I sat and waited for them to come back! After they reentered I suggested I wanted them to move faster they just starred at me and appeared to slow down. No verbal response was given to me when I asked to have her replaced with someone who could be better suited to hit my dogs vein and give the second injection and no options presented. Also half way through all of this they entered the room with the debit machine to get payment!? The procedure wasn’t even completed and they were wanting payment…

I trust them completely and feel confident knowing that Zelda is in such capable hands. I was very nervous to bring in my senior cat for an issue I had regarding her claws. I had previously gone to this vet but moved, therefore, switched vets. The staff at Northdale welcomed us and treated both my cat and self with kindness and respect. Dr. Granite was gentle and reassuring. He was educated and showed us respect, even after being gone from this location for a while. I am grateful for the care my cat received and I appreciate the time and attention given to my cat’s issue. Thank you Northdale Animal Hospital.
