Westar does incredible work. They built a base for a bronze memorial for us and the quality and craftsmanship is excellent. Such nice people, helpful, and so easy to work with, it was a great experience.

I would not recommend Westar Construction. Due to the sloppy workmanship. First Micah miss bid the job and later tried to comeback to add to the price of the job. His brother appologized to my husband and said that Micah needed to own his mistake. Let me give you details of why Weststar received a 1 star review. First I was told our Start date for our job was July 17th. The first reason it was delayed was because Michas truck was stolen. start date was recheduled multiple times with elaborate reasons such as they were finiahing a basement or there were no dumpsters avaiable. Second they took out more dirt they needed take out and they, hauled it off. Seems to me they should have at least left some dirt to fill back in those areas. The job looks unfinished. Third. Look at the pictures of the quality on the stair. Looks like an amature did the work. Fourth: look at the mess of big cement foot prints and other cement slop that was left behind. 5th: they expect the home owner to power wash the dried cement off the driveway and seal it. Honestly it should be a ZERO star review. When an average person pays nearly 16k for a driveway they should recieve better quality than we received. Pictures speak for themselves and they sloppy workmanship we recieved. They had the opportunity to make the situation right and receive a better the review. Micah was to come back and remedy they sloppy workmanship. We still have his big cement foot prints in multiple areas of our driveway. The stair work was horrible. I would think twice before you call this company. The pictures tell the story!

I have had a great experience with Westar. After getting multiple recommendations to use Westar for our concrete project. I opted to contact Jed to get a bid. He came out to my place quickly and was incredibly thorough about what to include, even recommended and suggested things I didn’t even think about. He was timely in providing a bid and was detailed in the bid as well. The project consisted of an outdoor patio and a slab on the side of our house for garbage cans. It took about 2 days, but the entire team was friendly and very service oriented. I felt informed the entire time and the finished product is exactly what we wanted. We are so excited to use our new patio as we go into summer!

Thank you very much Westar Construction team for building my dream garage!! I highly recommend Jed and his entire extended team for any of your construction projects. This was always going to be a difficult project as my goals were to make the garage as large as possible within the code requirements and have it match the original Tudor design of the house. We went through many architects until we landed on one who was willing to be creative. This led to a design that didn’t have any right angles, had a complicated roof line and somehow had to match a house that was built in 1978. When I met Jed, he understood the vision and gave me confidence that the project would go well. Here are the reasons I highly recommend Westar: Communication: I always knew the status of the project and Jed was never hard to get a hold of. This more than anything else gave my wife and I confidence that the project was proceeding well. Schedule: When they broke ground in April, Jed said he thought it would be done around September. It was completed in September, even with all the normal issues and surprises that come up in a project like this. After talking with my neighbors about their projects, it seems rare for projects to get completed on the original schedule. Attention to detail: Jed held his team and subcontractors to a high standard. One of the reasons to get an experienced contractor is they will see things that you don't notice and that was certainly the case here. As an example, they used brick recovered from the original house in an area where old and new brick would be continuous. This makes it difficult to see where the old house ends and the new extension begins. They also recommended things like sealing of the concrete that I wouldn't have thought of. Westar team: Every single person on that team worked their butts off on this project and they are all amazing individuals to boot. Price: There were no surprises, changes and additions were quickly priced up and best of all, this project came in within the budget set. As you can tell, I feel very lucky that we used Westar for this project.
