I had the absolute pleasure of working alongside Nicole for Laura & Shea’s wedding, and I can’t say enough wonderful things about the experience! From the moment I arrived, it was clear that every single detail had been thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed. Nicole’s professionalism and calm presence made the entire day flow seamlessly. She anticipated needs before they arose, kept everything on schedule without anyone feeling rushed, and created an environment where everyone - from the couple to all the vendors - could do their best work. Her attention to detail is impeccable, and you can truly see the care she puts into every element of her couples’ celebrations. As a photographer, I especially appreciated how Nicole understood the importance of capturing authentic moments and beautiful details. She crafted a very thoughtful timeline that allowed our couple to stay present and enjoy their day with a more documentary approach. Beyond her incredible organizational skills, Nicole is simply a joy to work with. She’s collaborative, communicative, and genuinely invested in creating an unforgettable experience for her couples. It's such a wild leap of trust to hire a wedding planner. Two years of planning leading up to a single weekend; I think it’s very hard to know how consuming wedding planning can be until you’re really up to your neck in the thick of it. You want experienced, calming, professionals. You want people you know truly see you, who see your vision, and can execute under high stress and uncertainty. We chose Urban Allure because when we met them, we really believed they would keep us level not just for one meeting, but for years! That’s a big ask, and Nicole and Niela met it with such competence and kindness. We were looking for less conventional vendors at our wedding, and to really make it our own, and Urban Allure brought us through the storm with style. Colleen came on to our team to handle floral needs relatively late in the process, but the end result was stunning. I also want to be clear that this wasn’t a case of mind reading; this team really worked to understand us, and were completely without ego when we asked for adjustments. We did have a few things come up on the day of (what event doesn’t!), but we had a wonderful wedding, and we’re so grateful to have worked with Urban Allure!
We worked with Nicole at Urban Allure for decor for our wedding at Sarabande Chicago in June, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Nicole was incredibly responsive, professional, and seemed genuinely excited for us and our big day. Our wedding was unique, we had a Hindu ceremony in the morning followed by a traditional American cocktail hour, dinner and dancing in the evening, and while Urban Allure didn’t have everything we needed in-house (like a stage, large mandap, Indian chairs or Indian statues), Nicole seamlessly coordinated with other vendors to pull everything together. She even handled pickup and return of those items, which took a huge load off our plates. The team’s schedule for setup and breakdown was tailored to our needs, and everyone was prompt, professional, and kind. They even offered to store our Indian floral garlands (from another shop) the day before the wedding to save us the hassle of finding fridge space. We received countless compliments on our bouquets, mandap florals, the ceiling greenery (which looked absolutely magical), and how beautifully the florals were repurposed throughout the day. Nicole and her team worked quietly behind the scenes when needed and stepped in with support when appropriate, always striking the right balance. One thing we really appreciated was how flexible and collaborative they were. We wanted to incorporate some of our own decor (like colorful votives for the tablescapes), and they welcomed it without hesitation or pressure to upsell from their own inventory. Urban Allure brought beauty, color, and a sense of ease to our wedding day. We’re so grateful for their talent and dedication, and we wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a thoughtful, professional, and truly kind decor team.
Nicole was an absolutely fantastic planner. From the very start, she felt vibrant, exciting, and approachable—and she was also one of the more affordable options we considered. Even though we chose partial planning, Nicole was with us every step of the way, meeting with us monthly and guiding us through the entire process. She provided everything we needed: vendor recommendations, thoughtful consideration of our preferences, and calm, practical support whenever tricky situations with vendors or family arose. Thanks to her, we felt completely prepared for our wedding, and the day itself was truly stress-free. Everything was seamless—we were able to focus on each other while Nicole organized and managed the rest. We also used Urban Allure’s floral service, which was stunning, and Nicole’s coordination made it even better. What really stood out was how Nicole and her team went above and beyond. They surprised us with thoughtful extra touches on the day of, making our celebration feel even more special. We can’t recommend Nicole and her team highly enough—we’d choose her again 100 times out of 100.
