Caleb and Paul were very easy to work with. Paul had guys out there almost every day of the build. Little to no down time. House came out great. Only thing I can complain about was the disconnect between the sales team and builder. For example we signed for a freestanding tub and a drop in was installed.. with that being said ANY issue that was found was fixed with no hassle at all by Paul and Caleb. Great people to work with. Would recommend.
A Dream in the Making – Our UBH Lancaster Experience So Far! I wanted to take a moment to share our DETAILED experience with United Built Homes (UBH) – Lancaster/DeSoto location, because when you’re building your forever home, every step matters!!!! How it Started: The Search for WOW 🤩 We originally met with another builder—Til$on Homes. 🏠 We spent time reviewing floor plans, but nothing gave us that “this is it!” moment. Their upgrade options were rigid, cost-ineffective, and the design features we actually wanted were considered premium. No incentives, just a lot of “upgrades” for things that should’ve been included. When we inquired further, we were met with laughter instead of answers. That was irritating 😠 and it would have taken them 12 mos to provide the final product. Not impressed. How we found UBH- As we were driving home from our land, we noticed a sign along I-45 that read: “UBH - Build on Your Land.” On a whim, I called—and it turned out to be the best decision we’ve made. First Contact: Meeting Leon We connected with Leon at the Lancaster/DeSoto office. Right off the bat, he was informative, kind, and truly listened to what we wanted. Despite being busy, Leon took the time to sit with us and go through multiple floor plans until we found the one. That same day, we canceled our follow-up appointment with Til$on because we knew we had found a team that actually cared. Leon is down-to-earth, honest, and just a genuinely good guy. He never pressured us, never upsold—just helped us make the right choice for our family. Second & Third Meetings: Enter Caleb Once we selected the plan, we moved on to structure and design discussions. That’s when we met Caleb—and what a great addition to the team! Caleb is straightforward, honest, and appreciates a no-nonsense approach (just like us). He respected our vision and kept things transparent. We came in already having our water meter, electric in the works, and building permit in place—which Caleb appreciated. (Although UBH can also help with all that) He had even driven out to our land before our meeting to assess everything. That kind of initiative? Rare these days! It saved us time and eliminated any surprises. Fourth Meeting: On-Site Progress Next, we headed out to the land with the team. Soil testing was done, the home was marked out, and we got to meet Spencer, our assigned project manager. He’ll be overseeing the entire build—and we’re excited to have him on board. Professional, friendly, and clearly experienced. Fifth Meeting: Ready to Break Ground At our most recent meeting, we finalized design details and were told ground would break in the next 4–6 weeks. It’s all becoming real, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Final Thoughts (So Far): If you’re considering building a home and want a team that actually listens, respects your budget, and treats you like a valued partner—not just another contract—go with UBH Lancaster. From Leon’s sincere dedication to Caleb’s transparency and Spencer’s readiness on the field, it’s been an incredible experience. We’ll update this review throughout the build process, but for now: UBH has our full confidence—and we’re excited to watch our forever home come to life!
