Anthony DonnellyI'll give you the short answer first The two main things to take away from this is the two most important things that all other mechanics get wrong, The price they gave me was exactly half the price of the market rate in the area, and the quote I was given was the end cost total to the point to the penny, and thirdly no sales pitching in fixed pay rate out. Was visiting my mother from out of town up in Burlington there she had a nail in her tire so to address the situation done the usual process, four different calls they're all in the same ballpark But I'm always a fan of smaller independent family shops where it lines the pockets of the people in the community and not corporate in Alberta or wherever it is. Call them up explain the situation I believe it was the son he said come on in and the keys are over I waited 15 minutes got my car back screw removed plug and patch for exactly half the price from what the other three were offering . Best part specific nature of the industry The end rates never the same as the quote well for most these guys gave me the quote gave me my car back and that's what the price was, cordial, honest, local father and son shop. In my 30 odd years of driving I think that's the first time I've ever counted a mechanic that was half the rate The price was the price and there was no pitch A rare breed for industry standards to say the least Good job guys thanks for getting me on the road And we'll definitely now be my mother's go to for all things auto as it's her community Give them a try if your experience is similar it's not that you've got nothing to lose but you're actually up
