Drove Refer, and also went back and drove Heavy Haul for Them... Pay was per mile with both... problem is the lanes you drive are Seattle/Portland to Lewiston, Idaho, Or similar... so miles per day are only 300ish average per day... Very professional company that takes good care of trucks and everything is ran very safely and professionally. The ONLY reason I left is not many miles... I was told average should be about $1600 weekly pay... and I only hit that amount 1 week for the 4 months that I drove Heavy Haul... switched to Refer... and same thing... always $300 to $600 per week short of expectations... And I always drove my entire clock each day... and always hit every single appointment early. Anyways...Long Story Short... Good Company, Well Ran, But Expectations of Salary/Pay was lacking...

They don't listen to the drivers, been in trucking for 42 years. Managers protect there own little kingdom. One hand doesn't know or communicate with others to know what there doing. They think there doing a good job, but turnover rate is 100 percent. Good over the road companies have driver turnover of 15 to 30 percent, not 100 to 200 percent. Turnover rate and advertising for drivers tell you everything. They do have a few good dispatchers, but have some very incompetent management. Shop is substandard. Owners isolate themselves from the main employees.

Dispatchers and equipment are good. Miles. They love to run you. The dispatchers will treat you as if you're their longtime friend but also leave you alone. They do forced dispatch but they typically give you 8 hours before they bother you with a load if you're on your 10. I highly recommend.

My son worked here and I was concerned for him because he was sick and not answering his phone. He was in his truck on their lot. We had to call 3 different people and no one seemed to know who to talk to so that someone could check on him. Very disorganized and they don't care much for their drivers safety or well being.
