I recently started the process of renewing my expired Food Handler's certificate. I would typically obtain it through my provincial authority in the past, but the changes caused by COVID-19 have significantly altered the landscape. After my school recommended your website as one of the leading food safety programs in the country, I felt confident registering online. I understand that food safety involves recognizing various risks and encompasses a range of topics. From the beginning, I found the information comprehensive, and the program's team has done an excellent job presenting the material in an easily understandable manner. The thoughtful design of the modules has made it much more manageable to absorb the necessary knowledge, ensuring I can succeed on the final exam and quizzes at the end of each module. Thank you, Canadian Institute of Food and Safety, for your effort in creating this program using everyday language that the public can easily understand. See you again in five years!

I had a pleasant experience. A very responsive support team and with timely reminders about approaching deadlines. The course is designed to ensure one completes successfully within the allotted time.

I recently completed the Food Handler Certificate course at the Canadian Institute of Food Safety, and I have to say, it was an incredibly rewarding experience. The course was spread over three days, and every day was packed with useful information that I know will help and benefit me in my career. What stood out most to me was how engaging and fun the learning process was. Despite the topic being quite serious, the course was interactive, well-structured, and easy to follow. The modules covered everything from proper food handling and hygiene practices to understanding foodborne illnesses and the importance of safe food storage. One of the things I appreciated most was the practical, real-world examples they included. I could easily see how I could apply everything I learned directly to my workplace. The online format made it convenient and flexible, allowing me to learn at my own pace, which I really appreciated. Overall, I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to enhance their knowledge in food safety. It was a fun, informative, and well-organized experience, and I feel much more confident in my ability to handle food safely. Plus, the certificate is a great addition to my professional credentials!

The process is quite extensive, be prepared to spend 8+ hours in front of the computer listening to AI generated voice content. There is continuous repetition of some information as it is discussed in different sections of the presentation. Some of the information is not possible to perform/maintain in the workplace but is relevant to the food handler's education session. The content is well presented and the quizzes provide practice for the test. Unfortunately, the process does not provide a final test score, just whether you passed or not. It does provide a certificate which is not as user friendly as the wallet sized card that was given at the in-person course last time.
