Customer experiences
I’ve been shopping at this location a few times now and the employees are usually wonderful. Today I went in to do a return. At the cash, a customer had been checking out items but when I arrived, she went off to the side and she continued shopping. When it clearly looked like she wasn’t ready to cash out, the employee looked up at me, and at that point, I assumed that she would say your items will be at the side while I attend to this customer that’s waiting behind you. No, she continued to allow her to shop- even while the customer asked the employee for her opinion on multiple items. At no point did the employee apologize for the inappropriate and unnecessary wait time when I was finally able to do my return. I felt so disrespected. I will no longer be shopping at this location.
I’ve been a long time customer of carters long before I even had my son. In November I purchased a 2 piece snow suit appropriately sized for him. I put it on him but he couldn’t walk or more AT ALL. I didn’t think much of it as I assumed that was the case for all/most children. We took him outside for multiple winter activities and he refused to attempt to walk - because he couldn’t. Resulting in us bringing a stroller or wagon or toboggan of some sort. My boy loves the outdoors so seeing him miserable in the snow made me upset. Over the course of the last couple of months at daycare his teachers said he was not himself crying outside on the corner perfectly still. I asked if he was the only one not able to move in his snowsuit and she said yes, all the other kids are able to move freely. Maybe see if ordering another one would help. We did order one - a different brand. He could jump run play in it no problem. The daycare told me this made a huge difference and he’s finally enjoying outside again. This was over the course of 2 months which is a long time to be miserable outside. When I was speaking to the teacher another parent chimed in saying ‘is it a carters snow suit by any chance?’ I said yes and she said she has the same experience - that for some reason their snowsuits are super stiff and she had to repurchase one for her son as well. Other parents then chimed saying they also experienced this , and we all agreed that it’s ridiculous because they’re not cheap! I emailed customer service explaining my frustrations & guilt with allowing my son to just stand outside miserable for 2+ months. They then asked me for ‘proof’. I said I have no proof besides the couple of videos showing him in a stroller or toboggan refusing to move vs him in his new snowsuit freely running and jumping around, which I had sent to them. They then responded saying my claim had been rejected but offered me a 25% off coupon. I think that’s RIDICULOUS that a million dollar company can’t reimburse me 100$ for a snow suit that I had to buy 2 of and the many other parents complaining about the stiffness of this snowsuit. My poor kid couldn’t move in the freezing cold and now we have spent nearly 250$ on snow gear for one season. TERRIBLE and I will no longer be a customer.
I went there yesterday to get my kids' sun blocking hat. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable. I will definitely visit whenever I need something for the kids
Great customer service. Very organized location. Lots of new born and baby items, less 18-24 month sizes available from what I've noticed each time visit.
