I have been trying out a few coffee shops in Durham downtown since I work remotely. I will say this has been by far the best coffee shop to work, read a book, or just hang out. I love their vibe, their friendly service, the staff is always ready to serve and has a smile on their face! Their coffee is very good, had their latte, pumpkin spice latte - which I LOVED and I’m not big on pumpkin spice lattes they all seem way too sweet and can’t taste the coffee. Their croissants are so fluffy and buttery too! Truly my go to place!

For me this is the perfect atmosphere for all things personal as well as professional! I'm a PMP/Buisness Broker and entrepreneur. The atmosphere can be a great place to meet up with clients and team members as well as get work done alone. The pastries are to "die for" as they are always fresh made and delivered rather than factory produced orders. ( I recommend the "Blueberry Danish" and the "Apple Bourbon" cake) The staff is quite friendly and accommodating and the bar is open from the time they open in the morning up until close in the evening. So apparently it's a judge free zone! Lol! I recommend this place as a casual, swanky place to kick back in leisure or a nicely accommodating place to set a calming atmosphere to finalize and close deals. Hands down, my favorite coffee shop/bar at the present!

I stopped by The Oak House in Durham first thing in the morning to beat the rush. It was a quiet, welcoming space with plenty of natural light and spots to settle in. I ordered an Americano and a croissant both were solid, and the service was fast and friendly. Pricing was also reasonable, especially for the quality and atmosphere. Definitely a great place to grab a coffee if you’re looking to ease into your day. Would return.

Loved our coffee and pasties! We also ended up ordering two of the apple bourbon cake slices- my sister called it life changing- definitely worth coming in to try it!
