The cafe overlooks the park and is bright and spacious and clean. Staff are friendly, you could hear them chatting cheerfully in the background as they were busy in the kitchen. There's a nice relaxing atmosphere, I imagine it's probably a good place to do some work or read or study whilst having a drink or snack. The menu is entirely vegetarian friendly, which I think is great, and there are a lot of options to suit lots of tastes. They use a lot of homegrown and local produce and they do a range of daily specials which all sound very nice. Everything seems reasonably priced. I spent £9.50 for a main and dessert. However for me today on my first visit the food was.... ok...but I wouldn't rush back again based on my experience. Maybe I just choose badly, as other reviews seem to be the opposite ! :) However I really like the idea of a not for profit community cafe in the local park , it has a nice feel and is clearly well loved by many and I hope the business continues to do well.

We sat outside as we had 2 large dogs with us no coverage for rain and dirty dishes left on tables 2 small dog bowls for water, both were filthy. Now on to the service the 3 members of staff were disrespectful to my father who is both blind and deaf. The service was lax and after a dispute over whether or not tea and coffee was ordered the manager Darren, said he would phone my father the same evening. No phone call as yet.....

Not a good service, ordered drinks with food, they brought out the food and claimed no drinks were ordered. Would not recommend to anyone and only getting 1 star as that is the lowest allowed to be given.
