AlanIt's been a while since we frequented The Lamb Inn, so while in Cheddar ,we hopped over to Axbridge. This is a lovely, old fashioned, pub in the square One should book a table as it gets busy,we didn't & we're lucky to get a table. So to the food, 2 pie of the day with seasonal greens ,real gravy & either mash or thick chips, £17.50 each.1 chicken supreme with roasted new potatoes & mushrooms in garlic sauce, £19.50. Some onion rings £4.95.3 vanilla ice creams, illy expresso & little biscuit £5.95 each & we added 3 shots of cotswold distillery cream liquer £4.95 each. Three largers & 1 guiness. A big bottle of water was on the table with meal . Food was excellent ,service was spot on & the atmosphere good. If you're in the area visiting pop in & enjoy.
Carole BxA great lunch in a lovely pub. A warm welcome from the staff. The food was delicious and well presented we both had smoked Haddock rarebit. Aubergine and Chickpea Curry and Rump steak. All delicious and would thoroughly recommend.

Ginny DixWhat a gem! Perfect place for lunch after a walk in the surrounding countryside. Cosy, quirky pub with a friendly atmosphere. Wonderful menu, with great vegan options too, and incredible desserts! Delicious! Service was amazing, and they happily catered to a few special requests. Highly recommend, and the square, town, and church are beautiful to wander around too!
