Was perfect stay, was a very social hostel which I liked was great for meeting people in the evenings had an activity on each of the days I was around so that was nice, Location is perfect about a 10 minute walk from all the touristy spots! The staff were great always willing to help with any queries. The rooms and the house was very aesthetically pleasing was very pretty! I’d most definitely return if I was ever in the area and would say this should be your number 1 spot if you decide to visit New Orleans.

This was a great space with a very nice vibe. Kinda grungy but it fits the bill. Great staff and its easy to meet people with the nightly activities. On my last night there one of the guests was acting crazy though. This person from Brussels borrowed $50 from my friend and when he ran into them he asked them to pay. They said they would take my friends phone and request a transfer but instead they took my friends phone and sent themselves an additional $30. We had to corner them and force them to pay up. Later that night at 1 am the same person walked butt ass naked from his bed to the bathroom as I was brushing my teeth and I felt incredibly uncomfortable. Then they stole my towel I was going to use to shower with. This is inexcusable and they should be kicked out of the hostel before they hurt someone

Madame Isabelle's is a phenomenal hostel, and very centrally located in regards to many attractions of New Orleans. It is walking distance to Treme, Louis Armstrong Park, Frenchmen Street, Bourbon Street, and JAMNOLA (an awesome place that you should DEFINITELY visit). The hostel is clean and welcoming, and I met many cool travelers there. The free breakfast is nice, and the other guests are very willing to socialize. There are events planned throughout the week, and free jambalaya on Wednesdays! More importantly, though, the people truly make the place, and the staff and volunteers at Madame Isabelle's are top notch. Thank you to James, Desiree, Tam, Nisha, Ansaf, and Taylor for helping to make my stay so enjoyable. I don't feel the need to stay anywhere else in NOLA when I come back, which will be very soon, hopefully! Give the place a try, I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. If you go soon, please help Desiree get that branch from over the orange tree, she'll know what I'm talking about! (^_^) Thank you!

The best place to stay in NOLA. Good free breakfast and amazing activities. The cats are cute and you can do your laundry there! The female Dorms are really spacious and you have your privacy.
