Customer experiences
While planning a visit to Oregon from Arizona with my family, I learned this place was well known for having an impressive bourbon selection. My wife surprised me by arranging for us to come straight here from the airport, and what a great experience! I was immediately greeted by Dan as I was looking over their selection at the bar. After we chatted for a bit about the things I enjoyed, he made some recommendations and set me up with a tasting flight where I was able to enjoy several options I had never even seen before back home. (Some age statement JD, Weller 107, and their amazing Stagg barrel pick, for which they have the actual barrel at the entrance!). The Stagg pick even impressed my wife who does not drink bourbon! The selection and pour prices on the bourbon would have been enough for me to want to come back, but the unexpected delight for the rest of my family was that their food was really tasty as well! We got quite a wide variety of different meal options and all of us were impressed! Most places only manage to do one thing really well so it was a real treat to find this gem! Dan, thank you so much for making this a memorable visit and also your wait staff was so friendly and attentive. I certainly hope to make it back for another visit before we leave town! Edit: I made it back for a 2nd visit on my last day in Oregon, before heading to the airport, and again... Wow! Between our two visits, and all of our family, we tried the bacon cheeseburger, fish and chips, fish tacos, BLTA sandwich, a couple of different salads, and more... and the food delivered well above average on all fronts. Also, our waitress, Shelby remembered us, and was just fantastic! Honestly, I came to try the fun bourbon, but ended up being really impressed by the dining experience too, so win-win. But let me tell you... for any bourbon fans out there... please just trust me on this one and stop by... On my 2nd visit, 7 days after my 1st visit, Dan greeted me by name and then with his help and suggestions, I selected a tasting flight of all wheated bourbons. (Bardstown wheated, Weller 12, Weller FP, & Makers Mark Cellar Aged) I had such a fun time talking whiskey with Dan, and trying so many new things... Looking at their selection, I could easily see myself coming back over and over again to keep exploring! What a great experience all around!
It's been a while since I've been back here. The place is still pretty clean and spacious with lots of tvs to enjoy sports. We wanted to have some snacks to go with our drinks. The selection of spirits here is good and prices are very reasonable. Our server was very friendly and quick in making sure we had everything we needed.
Great place to grab a pint and a meal. Doesn't hurt one bit that the service is great and there are lots of TVs for ballgame watching. Cocktails were also very tasty. Good locals vibe. This place works.
Only gave it a three star for food because I haven't tried a lot there but their appetizers are pretty good. Best chicken strips around. Wide variety of whiskey. They do track how much they give you... Two doubles in 30 minutes they just might cut you off.. I'm not a sipper.
