Shalom Gardens Senior Assisted Living is an AMAZING place for a loved one who needs a little day to day help. The community takes a personal interest in their resident’s well being. The entire staff goes above and beyond (the extra mile) to improve your quality of life. It is obvious that the staff has been “called” to do this line of work. Their passion is evident. Very caring and thorough with resident interactions. What a Godsend they all are!!! Additionally, the residents all seem to be happy and engaged with the numerous activities and outings. The facility is well kept inside and out. A true blessing to the surrounding community. A special note of gratitude to Brigitta Lewis who is an AMAZING Administrator, and an Earth Angel to her residents!!! I highly recommended this community to anyone who is looking for a 5 star community!!! Great job!!!

After a relative we care for was no longer to safely live independently, we needed to find a safe and caring long-term environment for her. We looked at several options and while most put on a nice tour, we felt the residents of Shalom Gardens spoke to the quality-of-care best. Residents are treated with respect by nurses and other staff. Questions about their care are answered quickly and honestly. There are plenty of activities available, comfortable atmosphere, the menu should appeal to most everyone, and the Physical therapy team challenges those that need it. We had heard positive reviews of Shalom Gardens prior to a new owner and read negative reviews since the new ownership. We have found the negative reviews unfounded. While our relative had some small gripes and complaints after her arrival, she settled in well after a few weeks and has made friends and is so much more relaxed and happier. They truly do nurture her independence while offering assistance when needed and above all, a respectful, clean, and safe environment.

My mother was there for a week. She has many medical conditions and could barely walk. She was there hoping therapy would help with walking. During her short time there the nurses only bathed her one time. She called the nurse to be changed and they let her sit in her wet depends for hours. She would wait hours for everything she needed(meds, bathroom, get cleaned up etc. ) then they would come in there with rude disposition because my mom kept paging them for help. She could hear other patients crying out for help for hours. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
