Absolutely disgusted with this surgery and I will be changing as soon as my medical records have been provided, some reception staff are rude will say things to you but if u dare to respond like a conversation works they raise their tone then keep telling you their not medically trained, but yet want to know the ins and outs even though their not "medically trained" oh the irony, then don't get me started on the surgery pharmacist who thinks she is above her station and above a specialist. And again because I dare to stand up for myself and stand my ground now I'm being questioned on my abilities to order medications an if im over ordering and now questions my health and wether my medication is now needed. This has all come about since standing up to this in house pharmacist, what's ironic is the medications are on the system to order and aren't when you cant, so how can I be over ordering, it comes up every 2 weeks so I order as one medication in particular can some times be hard for the chemist to get a hold of so the extra time give them time to source me it that way I'm not going without, plus the system let's me order it, so be fore warned if you speak up they will go out of their way to stop your medicines/ suspend them untill you've been seen, all to make a point they have your care in their hands it's exactly as its come across straight after I spoke up, lesson for the surgery don't do this reception job if you think you can do just a one way conversation on the phone and dictate to patients you said it yourself your not medically trained so practise what ypur preach, also I will now no longer divulge why I want to speak to a medical professional to someone who isn't medically trained, they then cant give appoitments for bloods when you need them, so have to send you to out of hours yet question my actions they need to take a long hard look In the mirror, you would think I was a drug user the way they are carrying on, I've never took any illegal substances or otheewise without prescription, and to clarify I'm not or never have been an addict, it's literally a sabotage to me for standing up to them, because they would rather look after the money than actually help patients. All I've learned is this place has a very limited vocabulary and that consists of, call back tomorrow 8am, nothing today, you can buy that, and the repetitive one is " I'm not medically trained" so why are you prying then? speaking to people like crap when they respond to what you say, it's not what you say goes remember your role and remember your not medically trained. So to save money let's start looking into people's meds because they've spoken up so we will take his of him and question him etc. And before any management come at me saying I could have spoke to them etc I tried and was told its not for the manager Its for the people who deal with the prescriptions, and yes I can prove that I asked as well. Basically they won't prescribe anything thats expensive to them and like I say if you dare to question it they will treat you this way because your health is in their hands so be good or be treated badly is the moral of the story, Let's see if im struck off for speaking out.

I’ve been a patient with The Greenhouse Surgery all my life. I recall some great doctors, Dr Barker, Dr Davidson especially. I can’t fault the medical care I receive, I feel that I am listened to and taken seriously, the health issues I’ve raised have been dealt with quickly and professionally. The only criticism is with a member of the receptionist staff, on the whole they are lovely, but one of the ladies is incredibly rude, as a professional person, I admittedly don’t respond well when this happens but I feel that this can sometimes let an organisation down. I’d have no qualms in recommending the practice, in fact I’ve been trying to convince my wife to change her GP for years. Thank you for the service you provide.

This doctors surgery has to be the worst in Redcar! My daughter is already late having her smear, she has just had one booked for tomorrow cancelled by the surgery as the nurse is going to be off work! So instead of putting her top of the list for a cancellation which you would think would be the obvious solution she has been told she can not make another one as they are now all booked until the end of May and the appointments after that have yet to be released!! Seriously! I hear criticism of this Surgery all the time, and the attitude of most of the receptionists is shocking. Time to look elsewhere I’m afraid, no wonder this surgery has a low mark of 3.4!
