Alannah and Judy were amazing! They were at the venue on time, they did an amazing job on everyone’s hair and makeup. They made the experience fun and dealt with slightly difficult family members exceptionally well. They also accommodated a last-minute hairstyling request when a guest changed her mind. The only reason I didn’t rate them 5 stars is because I was a bit disappointed that the trial hair/makeup price was the same as the wedding hair/makeup price. I thought that was a bit much for a trial.

Maid of honour here! We had the ladies at the Dragonfly Room do our hair and makeup for my best friends wedding in May. Not only were they so professional and on time (they travelled down to Toronto too), they made all our hair and makeup dreams come true. We had pics ready of the hair and makeup we wanted, and they consulted with each of us to make sure we got exactly the looks we desired. Also, they were so prepared with everything they needed to create our perfect looks right down to a ring light for the best lighting for makeup. Not only did our hair and makeup last all night, one of the bridesmaids even sent a pic the next morning of her still perfect hair and makeup (and that was the bridesmaid who said her hair and makeup never stay!) I’m so thankful to the team for making me look glamorous and gorgeous that day and feeling my best, as we all know it can be stressful the day of. Also, the bride lives in the UK and was coming home for her wedding. They did such a wonderful job of communicating with her and even having zoom consultations to talk to her about her big day. Thank you to this well prepared crew for getting us ready! Some of the best people I’ve ever had. You’d be lucky to have them on your special day too! I wish I lived closer to the salon to get my cut and colour done with them as well.

My experience with the dragon fly room was amazing!! I feel so much better about my wedding day after having my hair and makeup trial! They did exactly what I wanted and even pointed out things I never would of ever thought of. So happy with how my makeup and hair turned out!!

Allison and Alanna are a fantastic team and do beautiful work! I hired them back in January 2019, long before our wedding day in October 2020. I wanted a hair and makeup team who were experienced, professional, and talented – and The Dragonfly Room checked all of those boxes. They are very kind and great to work with, and really listened to what I was looking for in my wedding hair and makeup to make sure I felt beautiful on the big day. Of course, COVID-19 had other ideas for 2020 brides and grooms, so we had to pivot our plans! Allison and Alanna were willing to work with us through all the uncertainty of the pandemic, responding to our questions promptly and being flexible as we went through our options – we something sincerely appreciated!! We decided to do a downsized, smaller wedding and they were totally on board. They took the pandemic and health and safety precautions seriously, which my whole group sincerely appreciated! They allowed me to book a hair & makeup trial for not only me, but also for my mom and my sister – both were nervous about getting their hair & makeup professionally done, and both left absolutely loving their looks and feeling confident about the big day. Allison and Alanna are amazing at really listening to their clients and making sure to take care around any insecurities or concerns that their clients have. We had six people getting their hair & makeup done on the morning of the wedding, and every one of them spoke highly of Allison and Alanna's work and said they felt beautiful afterwards! The Dragonfly Room came to us so that we wouldn't have to worry about timing, and Allison and Alanna's warm and friendly attitudes made it honestly just a wonderful way to begin the day. And I got so many compliments on my hair & makeup! I am so happy that I chose Allison and Alanna from The Dragonfly Room to do the hair and makeup for my big day and would highly recommend them to others for their events!!
