We had to transition my mom into assisted living very quickly due to her becoming a fall risk, and Watercrest has been an absolute pleasure to work with during this challenging time. The facility itself is beautifully appointed, and the food is excellent—but what truly sets them apart is the incredible staff. A huge shoutout to Stephanie, Michael, and Edwin, who went above and beyond to make this transition as smooth as possible. Stephanie, the Community Relations Director, worked tirelessly to help us navigate the overwhelming process of paperwork, medical requirements, and countless misc details to get my mom moved in over a weekend. She is not only highly organized but also incredibly honest and compassionate—a rarity in the healthcare industry. She answered every one of my annoying texts after hours to ensure my questions were addressed—her dedication is unmatched. Michael, the Environmental Services Director, is simply phenomenal. He is the kind of person who gets things done timely and efficiently. You ask once, and it's handled. Again a rarity in healthcare. His reliability helps make such a difference in ensuring residents and families feel supported. Edwin, the Medical Services Director, has been a tremendous source of reassurance for our family as well. He takes the time to ensure my mom’s medical needs are carefully tailored and met with professionalism and kindness. His genuine concern for the well-being of residents is truly exceptional and knowing that my mom is in such capable hands has given our family immense peace of mind. Watercrest Corporate—give these amazing people a raise! Their hard work and kindness make this community one of the best in RVA. We are very grateful to have found this place for my mom!

This community is stunning. Susan and Stephanie were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The design of the community was well thought out to promote active aging and quality of life for everyone. So many amazing indoor and outdoor spaces for residents, families and friends to enjoy. We enjoyed our visit and will recommend WC.

We had to move our mother from another local facility that had significantly declined in the overall care of their residence. We chose Watercrest and moved her in November of 2023. We had interviewed many other facilities and decided on Watercrest for a number of reasons. Our mother is in the memory care facility and so far we have been extremely pleased with the care she is receiving. The activity director, Tae , is fabulous and very compassionate towards the residents. The workers are pleasant and friendly and appear genuinely compassionate to the residents. There has been recent management changes and we meet with the Executive Director who quickly reassured my sister and I that the expectations and bar for work ethics will be maintained. I felt confident when leaving that the level of care, professionalism and compassion that we have experienced will continue. I recommend that if you are looking for a facility for your loved one to visit Watercrest and give it consideration.

My interactions with the residents there and Kristine. She is amazing!! All the residents we spoke to loved it there and their level of care there, around the clock is top notch! Better than anywhere else we can find. The facility is very large and we love the tall ceilings in the rooms. It is clean and the staff is very friendly. We are looking forward to going back and having a meal there so my Mom can try the food, and also enjoy a pedicure. (Let her get a feel of some of the amenities as she is trying to make this transition).
