Joanna MooreSome guy here was very ugly and quite dramatic about me parking in his lot. I had my pup on the leash ready to walk him across the street for daycare drop off and he insisted I load him back up, get back in my car and wait for a spot to open 5 yards away. I timed myself and after sitting in the street and waiting for a spot to open it took me exactly 43 seconds to walk my dog in and get back to my car. I understand saving spots for your customers is important, but the best way to handle it would’ve been, “hey, it’s ok to park her for now, but going forward this lot is for cleaners depot customers only”. I would’ve said, “no problem and thanks for being understanding” and neither one of us would’ve gotten worked up about it. Be kind to others and they’ll be kind to you and 100x more likely to do business with you in the future. Being harsh and ugly to people never earns future business. And given his lack of empathy or care for a young girl dropping off her puppy for 43 seconds of time in his empty lot, I guarantee he wouldn’t think twice to treat a customer the same way. Ugly people are ugly people no matter the circumstances.
