I had a unit installed ~3 years ago by this company. Overall the initial experience was good, except that they tried to sell me a unit that was way oversized for my house. I reached out to Comfort First several times trying to get the unit serviced. I eventually had to get another company to come service my unit, and I'm glad that I did. The unit is experiencing an installation related failure, and now that the unit needs warranty repair work, I cannot get in touch with anyone at Comfort First to save my life. Over the last 4 weeks, I have sent an email, and called no less than 12 times leaving several voicemails with my contact info. I have not received a reply to the email, and any return phone calls. Based on the nature of the failure, and the repair that was needed and completed by a different HVAC company, installation was the cause of the issue. There was scale in the line set that clogged the TXV and caused high pressure. If this had not been caught earlier, it could have caused the compressor to fail. The scale in the line set was caused by a failure to charge the lines with nitrogen when brazing the connections. Comfort First taking a shortcut during installation to save time and money has now cost me a lot of money in increased electric bills due to inefficient operation of the unit and a major repair to my unit. Fortunately the part was covered under the manufacturer's warranty, but labor was not because they wouldn't return my calls. The fact that this has caused unnecessary stress on the compressor, for I don't know how long, can also cause it to fail prematurely. To say the least, I would not recommend using Comfort First for the simple fact that their communication is terrible, but the installation issue motivated me to leave this review.

Jonathan and his team installed my new air conditioner today. They were professional and very neat. Jonathan made me feel comfortable that the job would be done to my satisfaction. At this point I’m very happy with the job well done. Additionally, the company pricing in comparison was great Happy to have air conditioning again😀

Comfort First overhauled our entire HVAC system, including putting in new ductwork and a heat pump. Jonathan was organized, communicative, and punctual. Nearly two years later, when we need service on a thermostat he installed, we cannot get him to answer our calls, emails, or texts. From my perspective, it seems like for install company this is a great option, but do not expect solid customer service/support after the fact. Disappointed.

Jonathan, Eric, and the rest of the team at Comfort First Mechanical are absolutely amazing. We've been without heat for months and were having trouble with salespeople trying to talk us into expensive systems that do far more than our small home needs. When Jonathan came by to give us a quote, he was courteous, professional, and talked me through things without speaking down to me or making me feel dumb. The pricing on the quote was very competitive and they were able to come out and get started on the new HVAC system install that same week. In two days, they installed a new furnace, duct work (in a home that did not previously have any), vents, and an air conditioning system. They also removed and hauled off the old broken furnace. As the team worked, Eric made sure that I stayed informed on what was being done and asked for my input and approval on things like vent locations, which I appreciated. When I had questions about the new thermostat post-installation and emailed after hours, Jonathan called me back within the hour and Eric made sure that everything was taken care of. The entire team was helpful, courteous, polite, and professional. I wholeheartedly recommend Comfort First Mechanical and their amazing team to anyone who has HVAC needs.
