Customer experiences
We arrived at Knights Inn after a long day of driving and checked into our room. The room was unclean and smelled - particularly of cigarette smoke from people smoking outside - and I killed a few roaches - one on the floor by the bed and another on the nightstand. The motel itself and the actual room were definitely more dated and in need of repairs than the website pictures would have suggested. My wife had work to do so immediately got online to use the Wi-fi. We knew that we could not stay, though, so I called the front desk to inform the attendant that the room was not satisfactory, that we would not be staying, and to request a refund. He told me that he could not authorize it and needed to wait until the morning for a manager to inspect the room and approve any money back. He asked if we had used anything in the room, so I told him we'd used the rest room and the Wi-fi. He said that they would not be able to refund the security deposit, regardless, and that we should call back in the morning to confirm the remainder. We left and were able to secure a nice room elsewhere down the street. I later learned that Knights Inn had charged us only the $25 cancellation fee, which was a small price to pay for the lesson-learned. I will give 2 stars for the location and the service of the front desk clerk, but overall facility and the room itself were very bad.
If you're looking for a "budget" motel, this is it. But you get what you pay for! It's old, which wouldn't be a bad thing if there was any indication of updates...ever. Our bathroom door couldn't close, which was less odd than the spatters of what I hoped was paint. The bed was marginal at best, an old mattress on a metal frame better suited for a dorm room than a lodging room. And the air conditioner was so loud it was difficult to sleep. The TV and fridge worked, so that was something, especially since the breakfast was worthless. But as we ate leftovers one morning, I had to kill a big old spider crawling across the head of our bed. Again, if a budget-friendly place to sleep is all you need, this will do. If you're looking for comfort, cleanliness, or breakfast, keep looking.
This residential hotel provides a simple yet comfortable stay, making it ideal for travelers seeking affordability without compromising on cleanliness. Rooms are well-maintained, with basic amenities such as clean bedding, adequate lighting, and functional bathrooms. The environment is quiet, allowing for restful nights, and the housekeeping staff ensures tidiness throughout the stay. The front desk team is polite, approachable, and always ready to assist with any needs. Its location is convenient, with easy access to nearby shops, restaurants, and public transport, making daily errands or travel hassle-free. Overall, it offers good value for money and a pleasant, no-frills lodging experience.
We were in their handicapped accessible room for one night. It was disgusting. There was mold in the shower. We had to move the fridge to make way for the wheelchair in order to use the bathroom and there was dirt under the fridge. We ended up not staying the other 2 nights as intended. They had us pay upfront and when we requested a refund for the two nights, we were told it would be refunded when we checked out. Well, that wasn't the case. The morning person wasn't authorized to give credits and I had to call back after 11 to request the credit. The person I spoke with wouldn't give me his name and was rude about it. It took 3 days to get the funds credited back to my credit card. And breakfast ... That was a joke, even the coffee sucked. Stay away!!!!! 🤬
