Customer experiences
The Quality Inn is a nice renovated hotel. The rooms are newly renovated, clean and smell good. The hot breakfast was a plus had many options, with the menu items rotating daily. There was a bar and steakhouse on site to which was open in the evenings which was great. Also saw a pool/hot tub and fitness room which I did not get a chance to use. Overall, I will be staying here at the Quality Inn during all my future trips to Fort Dodge!
The staff really went out of their way to make my stay pleasant. My room was fresh and well-maintained. I relaxed in the indoor hot tub, enjoyed the hot breakfast, and the WiFi let me stream with no issues. The outdoor parking was convenient for unloading my bags.
A horrible experience; the rooms were awful; the first room after "the remodel" had a broken air conditioner, that spilled water all over the carpet, the door wouldn't shut all the way, and the toilet seat was broken. The second room (which was a downgrade) had a major leak around the air conditioner, meaning the floor would get wet when it rained and the room smelled of dog. The restaurant had multiple leaks and was extremely hot (the restaurant, the only good thing about the hotel, is pulling out in November, because of these maintenance issues). The television doesn't even have local channels and offers about five networks. The Internet would reset every few hours, meaning needing to re-add the password.
The fun thing about staying in a Choice Brand hotel, especially a Quality Inn, is to guess the number and location of every problem you will discover during your stay.||Despite their "remodel" the door would not fully close, the toilet seat was broken and I came back to a sweltering room where the air conditioner had dumped water all over the floor.||While the maintenance man left to get another unit, I waited in the hot room until they decided they wouldn't attempt to fix the issue and downgraded me to a worse room.||Par the course. Keeping it classy.||The reason why I've booked this hotel in the past: the restaurant and lounge; is moving to another hotel in Ft. Dodge in November.||There really is no reason I could recommend this hotel. Maybe the second hotel that they opened in the exact same premises is better?||This is a hard pass on any future stays, especially considering the choice of other fine hotels in the area.
